Read this the other day, very sad for the poor guy!!! Looks like The Angels won't be supporting GN'R with ZZ Top. I hope Doc can beat this terrible disease although it doesn't sound good.
To all The Angels friends, fans, venues and media
It is with deep regret and shock that The Angels have to announce that Mr Doc Neeson was admitted to hospital over the recent Christmas/New Year period. He has just been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, (brain tumour).
This will require immediate intensive radiation and chemotherapy treatment and will continue for the next 6-7 months. Unfortunately, due to this, The Angels therefore have no choice but to cancel all their upcoming dates.
The Angels would like to thank all the fans for their continued support and we wish Doc all the best for his treatment during this difficult time. The Angels look forward to seeing everyone again once Doc is given the all clear to return to the stage.
Sincerely,
for and on behalf of The Angels

Personally I just find HTGTH entertainment value these days. I will have a brief lurk there for a laugh every once in a while then move on. Jarmo's been pretty consistent since he did his 180 degree turn on Slash and VR 6 or 7 years ago. Since then the site has been a cheer squad only zone for the band and he makes no apologies for that. If anything he has probably just got blunter over time in highlighting his position and how people should use the forum or GTFO.
Once upon a time it was subtle how conversations were steered towards only seeing the positives and spinning anything that happens. Now it's pretty much "fuck off" if you have anything negative to say. I can't blame him he's probably tired debating and trying to get others to give GNR the benefit of the doubt and see the sliver liniing every time things go tits up with GNR.
I find it funny though that people still want to go there just to argue with him. He's not going to change his opinion on anything until Axl does, no matter how logical or thought out an argument is, so people are just wasting their time.
As someone else said, that Halo dude has been desperate to be an insider or get in on the leaks bandwagon for ages. I could understand if he was a teenager just trolling people on the net or desperate for attention. But the dude claims he has a good job and a family etc etc. If that's the case why is he playing childish games? Even if he has some material - so what. He claims he's never going to share it so why even mention it. The guy is clearly craving attention.

Cool I've never seen that before!

It doesn't look like a flower to me but it certainly looks unique compared to everything else we see in photos from the planet.
It looks more like a gold nugget or some other element in a nugget/rock like form.

I tried to register out of curiosity to have a look. Obviously not expecting much given their track record if the band or "management" are somehow involved.

Yeah I tried to sign up too, it was just a straight registration page no essay required or anything so I filled it in. I Never heard anything back either Monkey.
We like the current band and the old and we like buying stuff, clearly they don't want fans like that. Lol

I used to think he was saving the UYI stuff as a bit of an ace up the sleeve in the event of a reunion. Obviously that ain't happening so I don't know.
Maybe the UYI stuff is more challenging vocally for him. I have heard Slash respond when asked about playing more UYI stuff that he wouldn't inflict learning all the lyrics onto Myles. Some of those songs like Locomotive are chock full of lyrics. Similarly maybe Axl finds getting all the lyrics to a song like that or Coma difficult these days.
Or maybe Axl just doesn't like those songs as much. I thought I read once where he said words to the effect that those songs bring back bad memories for him.

See, that's just it Neemo. You don't get to tell us that something this country was founded on is outdated. You're talking to someone that doesn't own a gun here, not some crazy NRA apologist. Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it's wrong. It means you don't understand it. What you said is completely insulting to me as a US citizen. I understand you didn't mean it to come out that way, but that's exactly how it comes out. You don't know what's best for us. You have no idea what is best for us; you have no understanding of our culture. All you guys go by is what you see on tv or what you hear on the news which is nothing like what it is to live in 99% of the country.
You worry about your country and let us worry about ours. If everyone thinks we're so idiotic, maybe it's about time we stopped helping anybody else and only worried about us.
Well I'm not saying I disagree with it but isn't the US foreign policy based on going into other cultures/countries and telling them what's good for them and how society should be. Do you really understand them? Do you really have any idea whats best for them? Maybe some of these places are happy with something different from what the US thinks is ideal? Are you not insulting them?
Also, the US don't seem to be too happy with other countries arming themselves to protect against their bad guys? Isn't the best protection against a dick with a gun another gun? Obviously not in all circumstances.
Again not saying I disagree with US foreign policy but just playing devils advocate, particularly when people from outside of the US are being accused of not understanding their culture and therefore couldn't know what's best for them. Ummmmm what are you guys doing?
Maybe sometimes people from outside can see things a little clearer as they are not so close to it??? They can actually see what's possible as they are not anchored with the traditional way of thinking and can see an alternative.

Aussie wrote:See Monkey those deaths from that graphic are the ones that I think guns controls are most likely to reduce. Not the mass shootings but all those "one on one" type of deaths where easy access to a gun has much more "permanent" consequences than other types of weapons.
Now as I said before the USA is different in that they have more guns and a different culture to most other places. BUT if they wanted to make a difference, albeit that it might take 1-2 generations plus and a whole heap of other changes not just guns controls, then these deaths are the ones that they could significantly impact on.
Most of the 1 on 1 crime is gang vs gang or criminal vs criminal. I don't know what is going on here but you guys have this huge misconception on what happens in the US.
The ONLY place it might have an impact (besides accidents) might be domestic violence, but ask Nicole Brown Simpson if it's better to get killed by a knife.
Well I did a bit of searching and this site says that approximately 12% of all homicides are gang related.

If guns were banned today, everybody agrees that in 100 years or so, there might be an impact on gun violence in the US. I'm not sure we want to go through everything else that would happen in those 100 years to get there though.
This is actually the first post where I have seen one of you guys actually acknowledge that! This has been my point all along, something could be done but it would take generations to make a difference.
I know that's my view and I have said it in both my other posts in this thread is that the US is different in that they have more guns in circulation than other examples around the world. But Mr ID still posts this:
We talk about the guns in circulation, it's ignored. REPEATEDLY. Not one "American expert" in this thread has answered it one time. Not once. Like this problem doesn't even exist.
I don't know if I was included in his post since I certainly don't think Im an expert on the US but I acknowledged this fact in both my previous posts but it was ignored. The mantra just went on that it won't work because there are more guns in circulation and all these non US posters aren't listening. Whose not listening?
