He released the kid, and it looks like the latest 3-namer is dead. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/02/04/bo … urce-says/

I also read that the girl who played Violet in S1 will be back.

I've been to boards like that. It's not long before you're moving more and more conversations based on nothing but two (or more) people disagreeing. Nothing else in common. I really think too much is being made of it all. I also think there are a lot of people that think it's a big deal because they think other people are really bothered. I bet the actual number of people bothered are way less than the number of people that THINK they need to act bothered.

Good explanation Saikan. Kim's never looked to be a lead guitarist in the classic sense, and he's never really compared himself to anyone. Even back in the 90s he used to say that while he might not be the most technically proficient that he feels he brings something unique to the landscape, which I totally agree with. He basically paints with his guitar. He's creating sonic scenery and using it to complement the other elements of the song. I think he's brilliant in that sense, and missed him a lot during SG's hiatus.

polluxlm wrote:Not having him front the damn cover would probably have been a sufficient compromise. Axl surely puts himself in a lot of conundrums when he's trying to sell a new band, but that doesn't mean he didn't get fucked over here. And of course it's about the money. He's letting them use his product.

Ain't it funny that Activision could have killed Axl's pain and could have compensated the "damage" on his "artistic vision" with 20 million dollars? I thought we are having a guy here, who's not interested in money.
It is funny if you actually believe he's some sort of altruistic musician, or that he believes it. Obviously he's not, he got into this to get rich from the start. There's a difference between going the Led Zeppelin route or the Kiss route though. He might no be very successful at the former, but clearly he's trying not to be the latter either.
Axl could benefit from letting someone else write his business and pr shit though. Either that or his lawyer is cooked.
I was referring to one of their press releases, where they stated that Axl doesn't care about money and all he cares about is art. Obviously he's very money-orientated, like this case proves it again.
You have to keep in mind (and THIS is Axl's fault too) that his press releases are written by sycophants. They are as based in the reality that they want to bathe Axl in, not the real one.

It's still making the Google digest on my phone, so it hasn't been dropped altogether. I think the thing is, nothing's really happening. They're in day 5, the kid's still alive, and all the "news" has on the story is to dig more into the dude who grabbed him.

I do too. Publicly and creatively.
