This version is fine but as much as Slash's contributions sound fine, the song clearly was not originally going for a blues rock guitar sound as part of it and what can be heard on that cellphone clip sounds much better.
The guitars sound bad ass on the cell phone clip. As much as I dig the leak, I would love to hear that version.
Same here
I like what Slash did on monsters, but I really want to hear how BH and Robin orginally did it
The guitar that can barely be distinguished in the cell phone clip sounds epic as can be.

And the plot thickens..... more leaks of the buckethead versions please. Even with Axl's cut and paste production, i like this one much better.

Just terrible cut and paste auto tuned vocals that sound absolutely rubbish. Maybe I should give it another chance to try and hear the instrumentals underneath, but my god, it’s hard to get past those vocals.
I agee with you, its IMO by far the worst GNR song ever made. If you listen to the instrumentals underneath you will hate it even more bc like I said even the guitar parts and cut and pasted together.
Get In The Ring is far and away the most embarrassing GNR song to date….awful in every way
What you pissed off 'cause your dad gets more pussy than you?
Fuck you! suck my fuckin' dick!
Perhaps the most intelligent gnr line evr written.

Now that Monsters is out, i don't know why anyone would still hang on to that 2011 cellphone tech recording. You can't hear much under that crowd noise but you can certainty hear a pre slash guitar lead pretty clearish.

Absolutely. I immediately thought of this when listening to both tracks that first day...how old forum friends like Tommie, Robman, EFISH, and God knows who else had waited years just praying to hear a clip of one of these big guns but died before getting the chance.
It makes me despise the hoarding crap a hell of a lot more than I used to. How many extra years do these people need to get off on having something other fans don't? Why wasn't 10-15 years enough? Some have had it longer. Is there some magic number of years where peak orgasm is reached?
Brodie/Live Free is currently in a coffin with his hoard.
Here is the thing, hearing some of these songs it makes you wonder if the reason they have not leaked is bc they are not very good and the haorders dont want to give that away so they can keep making money off of them.
Its bad enough they hoard these songs but its even worse they sell them.
Have any of the so called big guns ever been that great?
This I love was rubbish.
Prostitute was average at best
The General is think is terrible overall.
There's a finite number of nerds like you and I or those willing to drop small fortunes on tracks. If I've learned anything about this fanbase, it's that once mutual benefits cease, people go into business for themselves. I would bet more than these fuckers are charging for a song, one of these 'hoarders' is going to have their id and ego get the best of them. Not to sound cruel, but Live! Free's hoard is doing him a lot of good now. The Beatles just released a track, so Chinese Democracy starts now? Soon might be the word....relatively.
#48 Re: Guns N' Roses » Justin Hawkins (The Darkness) reacting to the General » 114 weeks ago
This is a great series in a crowded field. He covers other artists that I enjoy as well. Always has some pretty cool insights or perspectives in his interpretations of his subject matter. He is kind of a GN'R mark though. He always has very positive things to say about them. I might be a little biased though, I love the Darkness. Even their reuinion stuff is pretty solid compared to some of the gold nuggets on Permission to Land.

No offense to those involved in that discussion...I love you all....but it's time to move on from that. No one is gonna budge from their position. No need for the insults either.
Is Claude still MIA? I've been gone for a couple days. Is he going to be surprised when he comes back.
Sent Bri an email. He's been gone since Hard School.
Wish you'd send one to buzzsaw too. I know I'm in the minority, but I enjoyed his posts, son.

Zodiac, Quick Song, Curly, Elvis and Dtune seem far more structured, produced and polished than Better and Shacklers were at that time. Even Sorry. I’ll be shocked if more than a few of them don’t have vocals. I can’t see Axl being stumped on them.
That's a really great point. No telling how many vox versions of tracks exist in some form or another. I know we like to think the hoarders have tons of goodies, but there are probably more random people that worked on the project that truly have the holy grail of this era.
