I think at this point the best way to proceed would be to do some sort of hour long live "Storytellers" type program. They can appear as a live band, as currently consituted. Ron, Richard, and DJ can show what they can do with these new songs. No classics played, focus on the new stuff. Give some background on the songs.
As soon as people realized they aren't going to hear WTTJ, SCOM, etc, they will change the station. Pencil the general public in as not interested. Hardcores might catch a rerun on VH1 classics though.

It's not integrity if the reason behind not doing it is some old grudge.
And if CD is what he's passionate about...15 years of clutter...it's a strong indication that he needs to reunite because his "passion" destroyed first the band Guns N' Roses and now the brand Guns N' Roses. All he has left is the old band, and that is the sad truth.

A reunion tour would fill stadiums across the world. That is undeniable, and they wouldn't need a huge promotion blitz to fill them because enough people care that it would be huge, huge news.
Sadly, I don't think it will ever happen, and there's only one person to blame for that. Maybe he's right to feel the way he does (none of us know for sure), but we do know Axl is the only one stopping it.

It was a fresh chance when Ron joined, when Robin rejoined, when Richard joined, etc...it's always a fresh chance, though history says expect more of the same.
how long ago was the DJ announcement? What has happened (I mean actually happened, not rumored to have happened) since?

If at 31 and 32 they work at dominos think this is a funny prank, they wouldn't be applying for the types of jobs that would have someone doing internet research. Nothing against the people that do this type of work, but they aren't exactly professionals in the first place...this just confirms it.

I think the poll should be closed and a new one opened in a month or so to see what (if anything) has changed.
