I love GH and RB for that very reason.  I have a new found respect for Slash's work in VR after downloading the VR pack on GHIII.  There are little nuances that are missed that come out when you're focused on the guitar.  The TWAT video on here even had me respecting Finck a little bit (just a little...no need to get excited).

If you're going to leave out 9/11, then you need to leave out military deaths as well.  As I said before, the troops signed up to go to battle (whether you agree with it or not).  You have to expect some of them to be killed.  Nobody goes to work thinking they might be killed (well, very few do such as police and fire).

9/11 is just as much (if not more) Clinton's fault than Bush's.

I feel bad for the dead and injured troops and their families, but there hasn't been a major attack on US citizens since the post 9/11 crackdown.  Troops know what they are signing up for...people going to work are just going to work.  It's hard to consider the deaths equal.

If you don't understand, then you just need to spend more time here...it will all clear up for you.

Just curious since you linked the 2008 report and not the website, where is CD in 2009?  wink

The curiosity factor sold whatever they sold in 08.  Everybody that wants it, has it.  The 09 numbers will be far more telling.

Dammit.  I hoped I could get this with RB1, but it's fairly obvious I can't.  I've been holding off on RB2 because I'm not sure if I want the instruments or just the game.

Avenged Sevenfold is not, nor will it ever be, Guns N' Roses.  So I guess I made your point, but really you've confirmed the album as a failure.  Thank you.

One source saying something online isn't going to convince me.  I could have a website up tomorrow with a fancy name saying whatever I wanted it to say.  I never said you made it up, I said I don't believe it.  That hasn't changed.

I'm telling you that for Guns N' Roses, #15 (which I don't believe anyway, but that's another story) is an embarrassment.  If another album is released as GnR, it will take the embarassment to a new level no matter how much promotion there is.

You're really bragging about Guns N' Roses outselling Avenged Sevenfold.  Really?

#5209 Re: Guns N' Roses » Brain in Modern Drummer (May 2009) » 891 weeks ago

Madonna and Marayah (sp?) Carey were both released from their deals if memory serves me right.  I'm not referring to the band's personal income.

CB to Libertad will = CD to whatever comes 10 years from now.  Had CD been released as a solo album, it wouldn't have sold half of the little it did sell.  The sales came from curiosity that no longer exists.  People heard Axl's vision and responded with a clear and resounding no thank you.  So the name issue is always relevant.  And if you don't think the record company knows this???

Neither.  I really find it amazing that some people still hold out hope.  In some ways I really admire those that can believe in something when everything says otherwise.  Logic be damned, they are going to grasp for straws until there are no straws left.

It shows how many fanatical nuts there are out there. These people apparently invested a portion of their lives waiting for this album, and believing that Axl Rose was gonna come back and rule the rock world.

Well it didn't happen, so what do they have to live for now? The album's out, it's over.

Lose Your Illusion

What's funny is people like lofton (no offense, just using you as an example) still hold out hope despite all the posts he's made acknowledging the reality of the whole CD era.  I don't think they are (all) crazy fanaticals.  Some of them get it, but still "hope" for better things even though they admit it won't happen.  That is what I envy...I just can't do it.
