I just can't give people a pass on stuff like this.  It's a weakness of mine.

Well, more than 1/2 the people don't care what Pitman does outside of GnR.  So the fact that half did read it is actually a compliment.

Here you go again...dropping hints and then saying nothing.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you know no more than 10% of what really happened.  This whole Axl vs Slash thing is far more mythical than CD ever was, and look at all the BS that came out about that. 

You believe what you were told because you want to believe what you were told.  That doesn't make it true.  I believe you were told something.  I believe you think what you were told is the truth and that whoever told you believes it to be the truth.  I don't believe (I don't even need to hear it considering the source) that what you heard is any more the truth than what is already out there.  Anything that blames one individual (Axl or Slash) is already proven to be wrong. 

The band didn't side with Slash because he did something so horrible to Axl.  Slash didn't accept some responsibility for the breakup just to be a nice guy.  Axl likely believes his version of events.  Slash likely believes his, yet neither are likely accurate.  Until Axl can actually come out and prove something, I have no choice but to believe he's got nothing.  For someone filled with such hatred, why hasn't he gotten into the specifics of what happened?  He's not shy about saying bad things about Slash, so why stop short of giving ANY details at all?

The band died when Slash left.  Until then, there was still a chance for salvation.  Once Slash left, the band no longer existed in any form other than as an Axl Rose solo project.
