As long as he doesn't reunite with Ole, I'm ok with whatever he decides to do at this point. Now that CD is out, it is clear to me that nothing he does will hurt the legacy of the "Original" band. That was my biggest concern.

Does this include contributions from Paul Tobias?
As a technicality? Yes. As a band member of the AFD/UYI era? No.

I think UYI II is the best GnR album. Even the "filler" has some excellent guitar work on it (Get in the Ring for example). So it has My World on it...big deal. Somehow that song has actually grown on me a little bit. I still skip it most of the time, but every once in awhile I will let it play for fun. Shotgun blues isn't very good, but I'd still put it ahead of 3/4 of CD.

I haven't gotten it yet. I'm not that into Metallica, so I figured I'd hold off until I got to read some reviews.

All over the place, you didn't see? Fuse TV, MTV News, Rolling Stone, all over the place.
The only reason it didn't go to the VR-degree, was because Axl refused to do interviews and put his face out there, unlike Slash which was already on the ground, knee pads, and smiling.
For 5 minutes. What about after that? There was more extensive coverage of the mishaps than the album release.
