Well for Axl to have made another dollar above what he got from the BB deal they would have had to shift all the units that Best Buy agreed to take in the exclusive first. Only after that would Axl and Uni start to make another dollar. Early on that looked like it was never gonna happen.
Axl was obviously pissed with the label no doubt, but I'm guessing he then decided he would do nothing until after the exclusive was up, then maybe do a little promo, the better video, some alternate versions/ remixes of Better etc, with the hope of moving a few more units that by that time would directly go to his bottom line. For some reason tho he Seemed to shelve that idea too at the last minute.

I always thought some of the leaks came intentionally from the Lebeis' in an effort to get Axl off his ass and finish the album. Maybe it was so he would have a sense of urgency to finsh the abum and get out on tour and make more dollars before the whole thng leaked.
Maybe it was just so he could see the hopefully positive reaction that fans have to the leaks and therefore regain his confidence and his mojo.
Or maybe it was just to create a buzz and some more interest to sell a few more tickets for another albumless tour that was needed again to refill the coffers.

Rainstorm Entertainment has announced that it will produce the biographical documentary "It's So Easy And Other Lies", which will be directed and produced by Christopher Duddy ("Cougar Club"). The film will be produced by Steven G. Kaplan ("The Big Empty", "F*CK" and "Sunset Strip") for Rainstorm Entertainment, and by former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan, whose life story the film is based on. The start date is scheduled for later this year. Executive producers include Daniel Zirilli ("Locked Down"), Joe Mundo ("Sunset Strip"), Christopher Shelburne and Kati Thomson ("Sunset Strip").

Yeah just because it's called "Appetite for Democracy" is really academic. It appears this could just turn into The Chinese Democracy tour Part 69504.
That's fine though, the setlist works in the main so why go out on a limb and change anything. Although as Buzz said, for me personally having effectively seen this show 3 times in 2007 and again in 2010 I'm not sure I would waste the money again barring something significantly different.

What was the stuff Beta was going on about Baz and Duff. I didn't think Axl mentioned Baz anywhere in the interview?

Yeah I was just having some fun Faldor. Hopefully Axl comes out and does well with these gigs. The online fan base is a surprisingly forgiving lot in the main and they don't need to do too much right to turn things around and generate some positive vibes from them.

Ha ha good post Faldor!
In a similar vein, I went over to HTGTH and it just reeked of positivity. I just can't wait for the shows to start so we can start reading about, how awesome Axl sounds now, best WTTJ scream evvvaaa!!!, best TIL solo of all time!!! How Axl really nailed that "Fuck Off" line in ISE I think it was directed at Slash, how rock n roll Axl is that he runs to his own timeclock, how cool it is that according to band members they don't follow a setlist so anything could happen, how awesome all the recordings these guys are doing on their own and showing Axl are - we must be so close to a new album. What a media and money hungry whore $lash is. That Ashba TM swag is really groovy! What an over whelmingly positive impact the Lebeis' have had on Axl and the fans since they first came in contact with him, how shit previous managers have been and are to blame for everything negative. How boss it is to hear Anything Goes live, didn't Fortus really nail that "Moving Piano Jam"! What a pleasant surprise it was to see another cover song thrown into the set, how cool it is that this lineup functions like a real band. How Slash is still trying to live off the GN'R legacy whereas at least Axl is moving forward - he's got a vision, GNR inducted into the HOF that's awesome - wait Axl's not going, the HOF is a joke. Slash playing the super bowl is so lame, but DJ nailed that national anthem he played before that other game. Same as that private wedding they did, pure rock n roll, no selling out to be seen here unlike $la$h. Im so excited because DJ said they had a few surprises in store - again. That is really nice that they mixed up the order of song 2 with song 3 this time and did a brand new cover song, that'll show those set list complainers!

#529 Re: Guns N' Roses » Dizzy Reed Interview for VEGAS.com » 706 weeks ago
The argument was that no current band member of GN'R has written for the band, which is untrue. You're wrong. And so was the OP who stated it. DJ said it, you're not accepting it for your own reason. But I still accept it as your opinion.
Go back and have at look at the OP. The OP posted an article then his second post quoted this
I think as a whole this particular lineup has never really written together. We have in smaller groups...
and wrote the words Ouch! after it.
Please show me where I stated all these other things that are apparently wrong? Until this post those were the only 2 posts from the OP in this thread.
#530 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Perla Hudson Reacts To Axl/Kimmel Interview » 706 weeks ago
In the context of this thread and third parties buying into the feud etc, I thought this comment from Marc Canter on mygnr yesterday was interesting.
I have known them since they starting working for Axl. I think Beta hates Slash more than Axl does, but she would probably jump at the chance of working with Slash if he apologized for all the things that he said or did that Axl doesn't agree with. She knows that the band would then be able to to big shows again in the states and all over the world and that would be good for many different reasons. The problem is Slash is not going to apologize for anything, because he doesn't think he did anything wrong. Slash was reaching out to work with Axl awhile ago but looks like he finally gave up after the Hall of Fame. Who knows maybe in a few years he will reach out again.
Honestly she hates Slash more than Axl how pathetic. People like Perla and the Lebeis' are nothing. Just because you have a close association with these guys doesn't make you a celebrity or give you the right to buy into the feud and keep it going. Being supportive of your partner is one thing, but have some grace and stop egging the whole thing on.
