This millionaire's birthday party is not the first occasion when Axl's whoring out himself and Guns N' Roses. He made many private shows in the past few years and many 'fashion parties'. Here lies your answer.

Oh, and don't forget that Axl doesn't care about money and fame. It's official. His people claimed it in a press release.

Don't fool yourself, it's ALL done for money.  You can paint the picture anyway you want, but Slash jamming with "friends" isn't as simple as just that.  The exposure helps him greatly, getting the forum in a different setting than he normally plays to.  Axl's way of doing business if a bit more blunt.  Obviously he's in it for the money.  They ALL are.  But who's to say he's not friends with John Varvatos or any of these millionaires who have him play at their events?  Is Slash kicking it with Doug E. Fresh on a daily basis?

You fool yourself (and what's much worse, you're trying to fool us) when you preach that Axl's selling-out would be somewhat superior to Slash's and he would have more integrity.

There's a difference between playing with anyone and everyone, and appearing on any show or event to promote yourself than to take a hefty paycheck for playing private gigs.  I know what you're getting at, but the two situations aren't nearly the same.

Yes, playing for huge crowds, playing on released stuff that fans can hear is in fact better than playing behind closed doors for millionaires. That's George Michael's cathegory. And that man's doing this who 'doesn't care about money and fame' 16 What a hypocrite.

I agree that Slash did some guest appearances for the money, but not all of them, for sure. Do you think Elan could offer him enough? Do you think Fergie pays him a dime? Hell, no. Being in the spotlight to help him succeed isn't on the same selling-out level than playing as a millionaire's birthday party band.

Who's this guy and where is he coming from? Slash entourage?

I know very little about him, but he wrote this book:

http://www.amazon.com/Reckless-Road-Mak … kless+road

And was very tight with Axl until around 2008. Someone correct me on that last part please.

He is Slash's childhood friend, but became friends with the whole band in the early days. He was probably the only one who talked to both Axl and Slash in the 1994-2008 time frame. He lost Axl's friendship in 2008, cause Axl thought he was 'on the other side'. Surprisingly enough people (I mean forum people) thought he was rather on the Axl fence in the past years.

His comments out there really worth reading. First time I'm jealous of MyGN'R.

I'm surprised, I didn't expect from you. Maybe your account got hacked or what?

Whatever...Guns N' Roses created 4 songs that will be getting played in the bars of Mars 500 years from now. WTTJ, SCOM, PC, and Patience will stand the test of time. Just like Satisfaction, a few Lynyrd Skynyrd tunes, Smells Like Teen Spirit will never go out of style...Guns N' Roses somehow wrote quite a bit of music that will live throughout the ages, much like Mozart and Bach.

Patience? I haven't heard it here for years. Radios play SCOM, NR, KOHD and Don't Cry a lot, sometimes Jungle, PC and You Could Be Mine, but nothing else.
