the fact that slash initially lied is confirmation that axl's camp told the truth from the get-go.

i dont know axl and i think its hilarious how members on this forum regularily psychoanalyze him with there claims about this and that. hes a strange mf and a recluse and nobody other than axl himself knows what the fuck is going with him at any given moment.

all i know is what is rumored which is that, according to scott weiland, a deal for a reunited gnr was close to in place around '06 and slash showed up at axl's place that same year drunk and was sent away.

there's nothing i hate more than seeing 2 on 1, 3 on 1, 4 on 1, etc.......people piling on top of someone, especially someone as yourself who is just looking constructively at the positives.

the rio thread, like most other on this site, is based on music appreciation which is a subjective concept in which you got raped for your opinion which should never happen.

my opinion is the show was terrible....on all accounts. anyone who wants to find positives in in the show can because axl and the band are brilliant and there will always be highlights in their worst performances.

you bring attention to this fact and i applaud you for doing so within adversity and I shun the select few who piled in on you for doing so. i'm all for freedom of opinion and speech but it is disgusting to watch member after member flame you and ali for exercising yours.

axl couldve released a christmas album in '95 and it would've went platinum overnight. would've it saved the band? who knows for sure - you'd have to ask the band members (slash). i doubt it. their problems with each other go deeper than who's capable of selling more albums as an individual. slash works hard to maintain his name brand where axl does just about nothing and still seems to attract attention when he peeks his head out of his mansion. slash knows this and he has made little attempt to patch things up with axl, knowing it would be bigger than himself if he did.

i think bono said rio's version of estranged was the best ever? or one of them.
