My guess is that you’re interpreting info to fit your narrative.

It's on SiriusXM...feel free to interpret it yourself instead of just being a weasel because their narrative is different than yours.  This whole show has been about PTSD/Anxiety/handling the situation.

Edit - they just said it's the psychiatry show, so that may explain the focus.

I don’t have a narrative...what do you think my narrative is? I’m too busy to have a narrative?

Sirius costs money doesn’t it? I only have it in my car.

Ok mitch...you're totally narrative free.  Keep telling yourself that.

Apparently they are offering this channel for free on deactivated devices.

The longer I listen to it, I do wonder if there isn't a narrative behind it.  I haven't heard a single person support how we're handling things. We're reacting out of fear.  It's literally doctors saying there's no reason to be doing the things we're doing because there's no evidence that you're going to catch coronavirus. This guy is saying take precautions (wash hands, avoid crowded spaces, don't shake hands, etc). I think everyone agrees with that overall; it's the closing everything down that people are questioning.

Edit - this is the "fear hour" - WTF is that???

Are you drunk already today?

Nope...I am actually listening to doctors talk about it instead of people trying to keep the panic going.  It's interesting to hear from actual professionals...you should try it some day.

I think you're viewing it with rose colored glasses. There's talk of a global recession. I agree Joe isn't by any stretch a great candidate. I'd say 3rd or 4th best of the original Dems in hindsight, but often times, due to the way our system & primary works, the safest candidate sometimes gets thru. It sure doesn't make him a lock, look at Mitt 2012, John Kerry 2004, McCain 2008, Dole (?) 1996.

I just think to say Trumps going to win, when 4 weeks ago his best shot at re-election was The Economy, well the economy has shit the bed. And there's no telling yet on how the US is handling the pandemic, but there's signs of stupidity out there. For starters, Trump started by calling it 'A Hoax', and there's video of that. Second, Fox News already has taken a drastic turn on their coverage, as well as the WH becoming far more enforcing, signs that early indictors show the trajectory is on a frightening path, and someone talked alot of facts & data into them. Idiot Rush was a member of the conspiracy pact, and I had numerous FB friends who seemed influenced by this rejection of truth.

Third, controversies always lag, and the WSJ did a piece that Jared Kushner was in charge of this pandemic response, and early on dismissed it himself as 'carried away'.  Later, his brothers father in law, who's a doctor, posted on a Facebook group asking other doctors how they would handle it, saying he had an inside route to the WH. He since deleted the post but someone screen shotted it.

Lastly, its easy to say 'scrap some of Obamacare', but getting rid of the mandate means people won't bother getting insurance until they need it, which doesn't work for the insurance companies as that business model won't work (Oh, I have cancer or a heart problem, let me go sign up for insurance today!). Hence, it'll fall apart & go back to the old way, people turned down due to guess what, 'pre-existing conditions'.

This is so ridiculously naive.  Let's just start at the bottom for simplicity's sake (I'm lazy and there's too much BS in there to bother scrolling through).  Do you actually think people weren't waiting to buy insurance until they were sick with Obamacare?  Please tell me you don't believe that and you're just hoping nobody is going to call you to the table on it.

The economy shit the bed because the liberal media has spread illogical fear and panic.  People had coronavirus or something awfully close to it last year bro...in the US - how many people do you know that had a bad cold that wouldn't go away for a while, but tested negative for the flu?  Think about it....  Eventually everything will come out.  But when forced to do something because too many people were in full-blown panic mode, he's delivered and continuing to deliver.  He's winning the economy in spite of all the efforts to derail it.  He sees the damage being done and instead of sitting there and accepting it as collateral damage as you seem more than willing to do, he's helping actual people.  Interesting concept.  I'm sure you had other ridiculously biased points above that, but I'm not wasting my time scrolling up when I need to be protecting myself against coronavirus.

I stopped reading at ‘liberal media’

Go watch some more Fox News...they’re replaying episodes from a few weeks ago when they were all verbally master bating about the stock market.

Bro, you gotta get off of this assumption that anyone that thinks you guys are idiots watches Fox News.  All it does is enforce that fact that you're an idiot.  I go to CNN if I want to get news information.  We watch the local NBC News in the evening, so we get Lester Holt (former Chicago guy!!!) and the NBC News.  Those are my news sources son.

My company completely gutted managment across all of our concepts yesterday. Fortunately I survived.

That's not good, but not surprising.  The damage being done to some people is going to take a long, long time to repair.  The damage to everybody is going to be impactful.  It's so sad when critical thinking goes out the window in response to panic.  Facts be damned, we're going to go overboard because it makes us feel like we're doing something.

Doctors aren't sending the same message that the media is...I mean sure, they are picking and choosing a few that support their hysteria and running their quotes any chance they get, but no doctor I've heard on an unbiased source is at this level of panic.  Some are less worried about it than I am (which is saying something).  I'm going to spend some more time listening to the doctors on SiriusXM today while I work since I can't stream youtube due to so many working from home on our network.  In 3 hours yesterday, it was pretty calm...if today is different, I'll gladly share.  When you get away from the liberal media, the story tends to be much different.

Why? Didn’t help the republicans in 2008.

I agree. This is March, and if he resorts to this whats left for him to enact?!  I also think Healthcare & Trumps removal of ACA/pre-existing conditions clause becomes a bigger factor.

I don't think you have any idea how many people agree with at the very least scrapping some of obamacare. There's so much working in Trump's favor and he has momentum.  Suddenly closing off the borders is okay?  Hate him all you want, but he's got momentum going where Joe is stalled. I mean he has fake momentum from everyone quitting the primaries so Bernie can't win, but that's not going to last.  He has no charisma, no platform, and he's at best going to get half of the Bernie supporters when they feel cheated again.

Things can change, but if it takes as long just to recover from this as they are saying, that doesn't leave a lot of time for Joe to gain any ground.  Trump is winning the economic battle even when things turned south...that's not good for Dems.

SiriusXM has a channel dedicated to the virus.  I listed to it a bit while I was working.  The channel was all doctors and it was interesting to hear very different opinions (if that's the right word) from the doctors. Clearly the answers people want aren't as clear as we'd like them top be.

There was on piece of advise I heard that even I thought was reckless: a person called in that had had open heart surgery earlier in life...I believe he was in his 70s now.  Their advice to him was to be cautious, but continue living your life. Not sure that's the advice I would have given that person, but hey, I'm not a doctor.
