Socialism here we come. Under Barry, the 18 year old fry manager at McDonalds has the same quality of life as the 35 year old manager with a wife and 2 kids
Really?? A $500 tax credit is going to make the fry guy have a lavish lifestyle??

I took a screenshot because it was so ridiculous. He literally won with 3 votes tallied.
That's awesome you got a screenshot of it. Keep that up man, that's classic.

It's also very sad and disturbing to see that 96% of Blacks in South Carolina and 97% of Blacks in North Carolina are voting for Obama...gee, I wonder if this is "race based?"
They said Obama won 91% of the black vote in PA. Although, in the interest of full disclosure John Kerry won 88% of the black vote. So it isn't really that they voted for him because he is black. It probably has more to do with Republicans not having much of a platform that appeals to blacks and not ever giving them much reason to vote Republican.

they are. NBC has already called PA for Obama, yet won't call VA for McCain even though he is up by over 100k votes.
Networks usually base it off a pooled exit polling & research, not the precincts reported. 20% of the vote could be reported in Missouri, but if it's all from St Louis it's pretty useless since it'd obviously favor Obama. Same thing with if it were all from a rural area, because it'd favor McCain. Usually the networks do their own surveying & have their own methods (voter turnout, specific towns & coutnies, surveys vs previous polls etc)

The coronation has begun. CNN announced Obama has won Maine, and a total of THREE votes had been counted. Yeah., THREE votes. A whole state is won by counting three pieces of paper.
Our election process is so fucked up.
Are you sure they weren't saying Maine has 3 Electoral votes??
I think it has 5, but it also does split them unlike most other states.

Yeah, they already called PA for Obama. The fact the called it right away is pretty telling. Joe Scarborough had a good line, saying "The thread just snapped". Pretty hard for McCain to find a way without PA. He needed that among 4 or 5 other swing states he's behind in.

Yeah, and even still there's a HUGE difference between the possibility of believing in Marxism or Socialism and WIPING OUT AN ENTIRE RELIGION/ETHNICITY!!!
It's horrible to think this douchebag actually made the analogy to Hitler. Between the lead singer of WASP & Scott Weiland throwing his $.02 cents in the other day, it's like a who's who of musicians irrellevant political views.

I'm sure there are people looking at him to be "their President" thinking he'll provide them with better jobs, housing etc.. but the way I look at it, is those are the people who are going to be left behind & disappointed in the end. Let's face it, alot of people on welfare don't qualify for some of these tax credits like college tuition or childcare or whatever. Yes, people are on welfare, but they arent' already. And even for those low income people who are maybe lazy & expect an improvement.... it's not coming to them. They'll still have to strive for it. A $500 dollar tax credit isn't going to get them very far in life.
I don't agree with all of Obama's policies, but I think the country needs a new change from someone who isn't the same old. And I also think John McCain isn't the person for right now with a bad economy & a war we're trying to end, not continue. Obama has brought out interesting facts we never heard, such as Iraq having a $70 billion dollar surplus!? I just find it interesting how Bush, Cheney or McCain never mentioned that part before. Kinda changes things doesn't it. I've also said this before but I think new energies (wind, solar etc) have the potential to explode over the next 10 years. And the stock market could boom as a result. I'm thinking of going onto etrade & investing some money into a vareity of companies, because I saw some are down to about $3 down from their previous high of about $50. Now's the time to buy. I just never used etrade before but am thinking about registering.
In the end, we'll know in 48 hours who the next President is. Obama never "closed the deal" or put the nail in the coffin so to say, but he has a sizable lead. We'll see. Nobody knows for sure who's plan will or won't work either.
Just curious, why is reversing the Patriot Act such a horrible idea??

I finally watched Saw III. It was awful. The puzzles were pretty good, but no suspense & the acting was awful. Killed the movie, it was basically along the lines of Friday the 13 6 or Halloween 4 type acting. Horribly bad.
