So let me get this straight, you "hope" there is a tape of Michelle Obama saying "Whitey" so that way Barack Obama will not become the next President. Boy that's just pathetic, no different than a Daily Kos poster "hoping" Palin's daughter is actually her daughters daughter, and the truth will eventually come out.

I guess when it comes to issues like lowering our taxes, listening to sound economic advisors or crafting good foreign policy relations you don't care about that in a President.

Not for nothing, but I think Joe Biden knows alot more about foreign policy than a coupla posters on a Guns N Roses message board...

I'm just sayin'

13 years later, we finally hear the word "Guilty" when in regards to OJ.

She shouldn't be the "scapegoat", however she shouldn't have been picked. She isn't qualified & it's evident & understood by most. But I agree she isn't the one to blame, McCain picked her & also changed his agenda every 2 days since the economic crisis hit.

Good post Axlin08. While Palin redeemed herself last night, Biden definitely brought his A-game also. So it washes out. Palin still came off as out of her league, especially in foreign affairs, It was scary hearing her talk about nuclear weapons, but she didn't implode either. The problem is this is a candidate running for VP & we shouldn't be grading on a curve. If there wasn't a war & an aconomic crisis going on right they'd probably be doing better & have more of a chance, however I don't think it's happening in this election. The one problem too with the ticket is they seem to go only after the conservative base, leaving independents & so called reagan Democrats alienated. Being from his area, Biden always struck me as a man of the people, & you're right he showed that last night. (I like when he tells stories about his grandad calling him "Hey Champ"). You are right though, if McCain somehow were to win this election he can bet it was 100% because of her. I don't think it's going to happen though.

I gotta agree with you, and the post probably should be deleted. A bit of a backstory, it was made by probably the biggest Anti-Barack Obama poster on this board, so I think alot of us were surprised & confused it came from them.

As for Palin, she did ok in the debates. Avoided alot of facts & knowledge, I was unsure what she meant by the whole "Give the VP more power" comment?!  But she certainly surpassed her Gibson/Couric interviews so she met the low expectations. But Biden certainly had a hell of a debate himself.

Irregardless, it's no gamechanger, and Obama's still up big & leading most swing states.

Yeah, this is one of those odd news stories where all you can say is, "Well, what's right is right." and move on. Sucks the girl & family will be a little freaked out over it for some time, had to be pretty traumatic.

Yeah I think unemployments gonna hit 10% & this years holiday spending is going to be really slow. Then all of 2009 will be very bad as well, problem is while more people are collecting unemployment while less people with paychecks are paying for it, putting the gov't in the red. On the bright side it may pick up in 2010. Like you said, it's a shake-up in the economy, kinda like when the earths fault lines shift. Big noise now, then it settles down.

Wouldn't surprise me if it affected my office or even me. I'm thinking of things to do if it goes down. Mostly odd & end jobs & try starting up my own business slowly. Maybe it's what I need, I'm sick of working for The Man & Corporate America.

^^ That's my beef with it. Granted I wouldn't know many, but I sit in a cubicle, I'm not trying to be the next VP of America!! Also aside from my lack of interest in History class in high school I had little following of such issues. I went on to study different subjects in college.

I expect national politicians to be better & more knowledgable on issues than I am. Not a typical person who basically could be a supervisor at my work.
