#5471 Re: The Sunset Strip » CAMP FREDDY To Play Acoustic Show In Malibu Next Weekend » 920 weeks ago

I'd love to goto a Camp freddy show. I should take a vacation out to CA one week when they're playing.

Bad loss for the Eagles. On that 4th down, the Eagles TE made NO BLOCK whatsover. The defender Alex Brown just walked right around him & grabbed Buckhalter. Had he made the slightest effort to block him he would have been too late & Eagles would have scored. Bad execution. Surprised Al & John nnever mentioned that. Bears played good though, their D was back to their old form, offense did well in the 1st half, not so much in the 2nd.

Al & John were getting annoying on the 1st Bears TD to TE Greg Olson when they kept saying "Why didn't the Eagles challange?" then they show the replay & say "I still can't understand why they didn't challenge. I mean, he seemed like he was in, but most coaches would challenge that call?!"  To me he looked clearly in with 2 feet down. And then why challenge it just because it's close, it won't get overturned so it'd be a wasted timeout!!

I wonder if McCain loses if Palin actually does go onto SNL. Kindof a skit where she enters in on Tina Fey. I think Bob Dole did that with Norm MacDonald.

Yeah, apparently Jack Cafferty was really offended over the whole Palin as VP on Friday. He basically said enough was enough. A short clip but definitely worth watching. His anger towards the end seemed legit.

One thing is really all she did was be Governor of a state who gets something like 80% of their revenue from Oil. And in the 18 months since she took office, the price of Oil tripled. Hence a surplus for the state, and the ability to give each resident a $1200 tax rebate. Which is why it's easy to have an 80% approval rating, even though it's now down in the 60's. Anyway, let's see how she does if Oil's down to $60/barrel.

Sheeez, he totally contradicts himself when saying what her stance is.

"She agrees with me"
"But she said the exact opposite of what you said"
"Well, she was in the middle of a conversation, normally she agrees with me and doesn't announce it."
"But she just stated it in public"
"Well that doesn't count"

How on earth is she going to take a position Thursday night. It's going to be a mess. Seemed like Stephenopolous towards the end (1:28) almost asked him the big question.

#5477 Re: The Garden » McCain lies? Caves? Or Obama was right? » 920 weeks ago

That is pretty cheezy, because every statement was followed by "But...".

Anyway, Obama said that too much, but McCain's not looking Obama in the eye was just as bad (They should make a commercial about that:) That's just his Obama's way, and I think it works, because it shows he does agree with others, yet takes their viewpoint a step further but showing some faults within it. Kinda emphasizes the 'reaches across party lines' debate too.

It's just getting sad now, like kicking a horse when it's down. The "Too many foreigners" at the UN bit was funny. It was a good skit though, just, man it's getting embarrassing with her. Thursdays going to be rough.

#5479 Re: The Garden » McCain lies? Caves? Or Obama was right? » 920 weeks ago

I'm not saying it's an excuse, but it could be part of his personality. Although, a few posts back I posted where he clearly looks at Ron Paul in a debate. So that's kinda off the table anyway. I think they advised him to not look at Obama, either to try to belittle Obama, or to not get McCain too angry. One of those two is my guess. Who knows.

Saikin, forget the pictures. The man's own record as a politician could be used to call him a racist. He was against the MLK holiday. How fucked up is that?!

Now that's something i didn't know...

Yeah I remember Chris Rock wayyyyyy back when he was on SNL (around 91) about that. He said "Look, people of Arizona. We're not asking you to DO anything. you get the day off!! You ain't gotta do nothing, just give us this one day a year, please. You can have the other 364." It was pretty funny. I don't know how much that is the Senator though, as opposed to it's Governor. I think it also goes to a public vote occasionally, and doesn't win. I guess there's few people who care. My brother lives in Utah, and they ended up not with MLK Day, but something like "Humanity Day" or something.. (psssst, there's no black people in Utah)

McCain certainly has to correct that. I'm not going to throw the race card out there, as it may have been a strategy or just his personality. He did suffer in torture camp for years probably never looking his enemy in the eye. So he does have that in his psyche, although he was clearly looking at Ron Paul in the previous clip from a few posts back. Remember in 04 when Kerry was using his pen & writing notes down when not speaking during the first debate while Bush was just standing there. Then, in the second & third one Bush would write stuff down while not speaking, just in case camera showed him (Now every politician does it). I think this will be like that. It'll be correctly & probably overdone next time. Although I do wonder if they feel McCain gets too angry while looking at his opponent. We'll see.
