My store had a small sign on the floor as well right in the area before you actually enter the store. I didn't look around much for other signs to be honest - I was there to look for GH:WT, not CD. If you were looking for it, you couldn't miss it. If you weren't, there's a good chance you never saw it with where it was placed in my store.

They had one in Chattanooga, TN It was pretty full, but it was there. I actually had the vinyl version in my hands for about a minute before putting it back. I see a sale in the near future...
i think the album will do OK week 1, but not as good as it could have. between the single choice and the overall lack of promotion, most of the world has no clue that there even is an album much less that it's out.

Funny.. But I thought that I was Del James?
Well, I was going to be Beta's former lesbian lover crushed when she left me to become a maid for Axl, but I open myself up to enough criticism on my own, I didn't think teeing that one up for people would be a good idea. You guys are too good for me to give you an easy target like that...

A good anaolgy is going to the repair shop with your car. You have no idea how to fix it or what it's going to take to fix it, so you have to listen to whatever your told. Yes, you can go somewhere else, but most don't. Enconomics is the same thing. Most political people have no clue about the economy, so they have to trust what they are told. It's kind of troubling actually.

It's not nice enough. Post it again, do it better.
Axl is a great studio singer when he can choose when, what, and how he sings. He's hit and miss live, but when he's on, he's very good.
Is that nicer and better?

No it doesn't. That 2005 royalty thing was a clerical error that made Slash & Duff look like total fucking assholes.
The ran off and threw a lawsuit at Axl, basically accusing him of stealing their money, then like a week later it came out it was an ASCAP clerical error, and they dropped the lawsuit naturally.
Axl had no part in it.
Shortly after that is when he inked that licensing deal to basically get out of the royalty business on the back catalog.
I'm not going to jump all over Slash & Duff, but when people say "they aren't vindictive, and they love and wish Axl all the best"... look back on this. It's bullshit.
I'm sorry. The guy steals the rights to the name from them, has something else happen in 2004 (don't recall the details), and then something else in 2005 (and these are just the things we know about) and they are wrong to jump to conclusions? I don't blame them a bit for assuming Axl was trying to screw them over. Fool me once...

monkeychow wrote:I'm confused Buz...are you actually saying you don't think Axl is a good vocal talent? I won't deny that he's had off days live and that perhaps he takes a while to craft what he does and a lot of takes or whatever...but when he is on...damn...do you really think he isn't a good singer?
Great singers aren't only good when they are on. When he's on, he's one of the best as indicated by studio performances and occasional live efforts. When he's off (most of the time live) he's pretty bad. Sure, everyone has bad days, but Axl has had bad tours with a few good days mixed in.
I'm sure some of that has to do with the different "styles" he sings in, but that's just making excuses. If you can't handle different styles, don't use them. He's my favorite rock singer of all time - that doesn't mean he's the best.
For Axlin08 who only seems to see what he wants to see in posts.

First of all, you can't ride the coattails of yourself or your own accomplishments.
Actually, when the accomplishments were not just yours, but those of a group or "band" collectively, you can ride your own coattails. I highly doubt anything short of AFD would have netted Axl the opportunity to release CD 20 years later, yet here he is without the others that helped create AFD riding the coattails (literally and figuratively if you count the tours) of AFD. Slash wouldn't have had either Snakepit band or VR either without AFD, so Axl isn't the only guilty party. That's what people do...
As for Mick Wall, who cares? If he wrote books saying Axl was great, half of you would be eating out of the palm of his hand. He didn't, he painted a picture of Axl that isn't flattering. People care about his opinion, so they ask for it and he gives it. It's his right. Maybe you should spend more time wondering why people care what Mick Wall has to say instead of calling him names because you don't like what he has to say. If he's getting attention due to GnR, there's only 1 person responsible for that.

Wall is an irresponsible journalist and a prick who'd rather resort to name calling and slander...
Ah, the irony.
