Its a good strategy at this point. Liberals immediately started attacking her, so they keep her away from the media. This reinforces the liberal obsession, and causes them to keep repeating the same attacks over and over again. Obama slides in the polls, McCain jumps in the polls, and Palin is the most popular politician in the country right now.

Why fuck with success?

Because this is a "What have you done for me lately" country. And giving the same speech over & over for 60+ days isn't going to last.

You'd be surprised, I'm sure Biden was well schooled in that response & is an effort to draw attention onto Palins crazy viewpoints people have been seeming to ignore.

Also, for the record, it's been almost 3 weeks & Palin has YET to do an interview. Odd, don't you think??

#5663 Re: The Garden » Independents rejecting Obama in droves » 922 weeks ago

While this is about the only stat I've seen that I'd say would be troubling to see, I do have to say that it's "Independents" not "Undecided" which I would think they are already included in  the other polls which show McCain only leading by 1-3 points which will likely dwindle as time passes further away from the RNC.

Also, it may be somewhat of a kneejerk reaction to "Wow, someone new!! Great." yet as they realize she is an extreme right wing Republican, and alot of the truth about her & her background & record I would think some reconsider. But the bigger thing is that they are probably included in the national polls. So it's part of it, not in addition to it. Again, that big boost McCain had seemed to peak at only 3%, and now it's staying at that, probably go down in about a week as people tire.

Irregardless, it's certainly an interesting stat the Obama camp should & likely will be looking at.

Wow Neemo, Laverneus Coles and Wes Welker had horrible days!! That sucks, were they injured or was it just one of those things??

Anyway it seems just those 2 killed you this weekend. Welker may have missed Tom Brady.

Ryan Longwell came thru for me on MNF with 8 points. Had he not scored any I would have lost by 7/10ths of a point.

^^HAHA your only 3 points outta first there buddy.

I do have to admit I think I like it better without the "weight" or "cofnidence points" we had last year. For smaller clubs, it's better without. If there were 1,000 people in the league, it'd be better to have it.

Slightly off topic, you might need some "change" in your home state. Earmarks there are through the roof.

Yeah, WTF is up with that. Although we used to have 2 Republican Senators until 2006. 1 was voted out for a Dem. The other, Arlen Spector, is a looong time Senator in office since the 60's. He probably had alot to do with thsoe because of his pull & seniority. He's something like 85 now though, & will likely be voted out in 2 years.

Funny thing is him & our Governor (former Mayor of Philly) don't live too far from me. I don't think they're around all that much, but some people have seen The Guv walking his dogs around (cursing "WTF slow down.. get over here, wtf. Dammit, aw shit!!" 16 )

#5669 Re: The Garden » Obama: McCain, Palin ‘Lying’ About Maverick Claims » 922 weeks ago

She did lie, from the RNC to the latest commercial. Why?? I dunno, she must think the American media is naive or something. Anyway, she won't hold up. Are you getting nervous or something about her lying catching up to her? I said it all along she was lying.

Anyway, I hope McCain is prepared for Obama's ad spending blitz:

Haha, yeah, on a few different points too. Anyway, the polls say a big swing to McCain no doubt, but it's a marathon not a sprint. And it's not where you start but where you finish.
