James Fox News and yourself posted about a mysterious "Whitey" tape which never came to life. So don't try to make this a whiny liberals/sour grapes issue.
I've seen those reports and chose to not post them here. I've read up on them and right now, honestly, I'm not sure they're true. However, there are a few dubious things to the story (however most are at the time unproven but heresay). But for starters, why was she in Dallas, giving a speech, then supposedly her water broke & she flew 7 hours back to Alaska?! I've read differences of opinion from women & pregnancies, however I didn't read any that said flying in an airplane 7 hours was a brilliant idea either.
I agree it's probably not going to be true, however shit gets thrown from both sides, not just the dems. It's what I can't stand about Republicans, they're hypocritical. They complain Bill Clinton smoked pot when younger & made a huge deal about it, then the next President they elect smoked pot & did coke?? WTF?? They make up some "whitey" video, yet now that there's a potential bomb waiting to be dropped they say Dems are scared. I can assure you that the major news outlets probably looked into it, checking to see if there's truth to it, unlike Fox News who would report it anyway if it was the Obama's.
Also, ABC reported McCain didn't even research her, and chose her on a whim.

Obama may be a little inexperienced, but he's been vetted to the public for over a year now and withstood an awful lot & come out of it. We still have to see if Palin can. After all, everyone's got skeletons in their closet (so far she has the troopergate and the bridge to nowhere's support).

^^ But what about Independant voters?? They make up about 1/4 of the voting population if I recall correctly. That edge can quickly be wiped out if Independants disagree with Palins staunchly conservative views (which is likely, otherwise they'd be registered Republicans.

No debates have been held (debates never happen as early as McCain wanted, thinking Obama will lose in a debate with the old man who still thinks Czechoslovakia exists is laughable)
Debates can happen whenever the candidates want them to. McCain offered to debate Obama anywhere at any time, and Obama declined. That's what's laughable.
In Obama's defense, I'm pretty sure McCain challenged him to something like 10 debates?! For one, Obama just got thru several Democratic debates, but more importantly 10 is wayyyy to much & I think people would be sick of both of them (which may have been McCains agenda on that, that people get sick of him). Beleive me, by the 3rd debate we'll be tired of them, I'll watch the first one, and definitely the VP one, but the 2nd & 3rd just might be alot more of the same., let alone another 7.

No problem, I meant to post this after the draft, but thanks for going thru the effort of putting this together. Did it end up being HTGTH vs GnRev leagues?
Also, an FYI I'm pretty sure we need our lineups set by Thrusday, because the NFL season kicks off Thursday night I think.

In light of the furor over the 'bridge to nowhere,' Alaska's governor opted to use the money for other pursuits.
She said that AFTER it was rejected. In October 2006 she not only was FOR the project, but suggested they rush it before the GOP loses the majority in the Senate.

Some bi-partisan reformer..

Ok, I agree stating the polls was premature, I agree alot of that boost was from the DNC which McCain has yet to have. However personally speaking I don't think having people like George W are going to boost him. Is Cheney speaking?? if so, can't see that help, Guiliani we already know what he'll say. Reportedly the other GOP savior Bobby Jindal won't be going. I don't see who will be so beneficial as the Clinton's & Ted Kennedy were for Obama.
I'm just trying to logically figure it out. Why did he pass over Tim Pawlenty, Huckabee, Crist & Romney for her??? And how can she possibly step in as our President in a few months?? A least with Obama millions of Americans believe he can and have voted that way.

I LOVE when republicans call dems "tax and spend" liberals..
Only 1 of the last 4 Presidents ran this country with a surplus and balanced the budget. He cut taxes for the middle class and raised them for the wealthy. And guess what, this country saw some of greatest economic growth during his term. President Bush ran on the "No new taxes" platform, George W claimed he was a "fiscal conservative"??? Yet he later managed record deficit spending and devalued the US dollar.
It's not personal attacks, it's questioning McCains judgement. Obama WON the nomination process by the voting process set in place. Palin was hand picked and hasn't ever earned 100,000 American votes in an election yet.

2 debate question she will need to answer.
1. Are you ready to be President?
2. Why did you support Ted Stevens Bridge to Nowhere bill?
