If those numbers are accurate, it's lower than I would have thought. Of course, I don't think it was on the whole week either. Week 2 will be interesting...
russ, it's not an insult, though you're free to take it however you want. Think it through logically...the law of averages says I'm right, unless you only asked a couple people. There's nothing that everybody likes or dislikes, so I'm not sure why that's so offensive to you.

I don't think he hates us, but there's usually a hint of truth to what someone says in jest. I think it bothers him a little bit that there are a few very vocal BH fans here that don't like BBFs rendition of BHs work. I also think he knows it goes with the territory - no different than when Finck was replacing Slash's work and not being able to (or not choosing to) do it note for note. I think Ron above everybody else respects the band and the poeple that were in it before whether before was 1992 or 2002. That alone makes him cool in my book...the CD I won in his contest just proves it.

but they do have an area where you can vote on the track and leave a message...it seems to have mostly positive reviews..check it out
Some of those "reviews" are hilarious, but I agree...generally positive.

my station's top 9 @ 9 it stayed up there all weekend but hasnt hit #1 yet. Ontario has always been a good area for GnR though...but AC/DC is always bigger for some damn reason cuz i fucking hate'em
![]()
HTZ FM Top 9 @ 9
#1 AC/DC - Rock & Roll Train
#2 Guns n Roses - Chinese Democracy
#3 Disturbed - Indestructable
#4 Apocalyptica - I Don't Care
#5 Theory of a Deadman - Bad Girlfriend
#6 Metallica - The Day That Never Comes
#7 The Offspring - You're Gonna Go Far Kid
#8 Rise Against - Re-Education
#9 Hinder - Use Me
Good. Staying steady in my opinion actually means more regular people are digging it as the internet fans get tired of voting. I see this as a good sign.

I am neither full of crap nor being lied to for the record. People I talk to have no problem sharing their honest opinion with me and they all like it.
OK. I stand by my statement.

Neither party had a viable candidate in 2008...I'm not sure how either party let that happen. The door is wide open for 2012 for whichever party loses the election. Somebody new is going to have to step up and not just make a name for himself/herself, but actually get something done instead of just coming up with good ideas.
Pa, if Obama wins, the democratic congress is not going to go against him. That is more politically suicidal than passing the Lazy-Ass Relief law. Again, I'm ok with giving people that pay income tax money back - I don't like it, but I'm ok with it. It's this whole concept of giving to those that don't contribute. Give them whatever interest the gov't made while holding their withholdings, that's it. No job = no money. Want some money? Do something to improve your life and society instead of waiting for someone to hand it to you.

I thought it was just interesting that it seemed like no one was interested in commenting on the new song except the forum members and the one guy who was totally against this incarnation of the band.
I just want to say for the recod that I was not any of these people.

First of all, I didn't have a problem with your post mrID, or anybody's posts that attack my point of view. The only ones that bother me are the personal attacks and/or stalking posters that can't attack my posts, so they attack me instead. I encourage anybody to rip apart my "negative" thoughts with well thought out comments and actual proof that I am wrong. I welcome being wrong in this case.
A heavy dose of negative is needed to even try to balance things out. The outlook everywhere (here less than other places) is so rediculously optimistic that it's boardering on lunacy. I get that people are happy and I'm totally cool with that. I'm happy, but very cautiously optimisitc. These people that are coming in and saying "everybody loves it" or "I've yet to hear anybody say anything bad about CD" are either full of crap or they are being lied to (just as anybody that says everybody hates it is).
I know it sounds crazy, but having someone that thinks as I do helps keep the balance more in line with what it should be. I give people something to think about - they may not agree, but most people will pause and consider what I said. It may not change their mind, but it might give them a different perspective and help them see that maybe it isn't quite as positive as people are making it out to be. So yes, I can see where in a vaccum I could be considered negative...I like to think of it as providing balance. I may be just as wrong in some cases as the overly positive crowd with my "doom and gloom" point of view, but as usual, the truth is somewhere in the middle. I'm not always 100% right, but I'm very rarely wrong. There's almost always ultimately some truth to what I say (even when I'm not 100% right), but not everybody wants to see it. Some people get wayyyyyy too caught up on me and not what I have to say...

buzzsaw wrote:Obama's idea of spreading the wealth is going to be the worst plan ever for helping the American economy,
Do you believe every 5 second soundbite you hear?? HE IS GOING TO ELIMINATE THE BUSH TAX CUTS & PUT TAXES BACK TO WHERE THEY WERE UNDER CLINTON!!! We just had it 8 years ago, it's nothing revolutionary.
I don't have a problem with that part. It's giving people that aren't paying income taxes some of the tax money I had to pay. Not reducing the amount they had to pay, but GIVING them money for not paying anything. That is the most obsurd idea I've ever heard.
Do you know why this country is filled with lazy asses? Because if they know anything about the system, they don't have to do anything and we will take care of them. Screw that. Get up off your lazy ass and get a job or go to school. Make yourself a contributing member of society instead of leeching off of those that actually work hard for a living. If you still fail after all of that AND keep trying to improve your situation, we'll help you out. Otherwise, good luck and let us know when you're ready to contribute again and in return you can go back to a better lifestyle. No more welfare for those that haven't earned it. No more baby factories so they don't have to do anything...we're nothing but a country of enablers.

Everybody gives me shit. I expect it...sometimes to the point that sometimes people aren't giving me shit and I read it as though they are. I don't expect to be a popular figure, I don't want to be a popular figure. I make it (and everything else) such a big deal because for as long as I can remember, Guns N' Roses has been my favorite band...my ONLY favorite band. Everything that happens matters to me, therefore, it is a big deal to me.
My "agenda" is getting the truth and/or at least a dose of reality out there. That's it. I don't want the album to fail, I don't want the single to fail. I also don't want to pretend everything is going well if it isn't.
There were quite a few people that seemed to be interested in updating these lists daily, but there have been little to no updates from people that have visited the site. Why is that? That's all I'm asking. Maybe they are just visiting and don't have time to update their lists, maybe the lists aren't showing what they expected, maybe they (like you) don't really care where it appears on the lists. I don't know, so I'm asking the question. I believe it to be a reasonable question even if nobody answers.
