#5761 Re: The Garden » McCain picks Sarah Palin for Vice President » 924 weeks ago

{James sorry I hit report by mistake instead of quote in case you see that post "reported"}

Anyway, I'd rather see a 4-year seenator as President than Mayor of a town of 5,000. 5,000, really??

Scandels will balance out (firing your brother in law who is divorcing your sister is just as bad as associating with crookss)

No sstates?? Iliinois & Pennsylvania are locked up!!
Tax & Spend, yes, tax people who make over $250k.. Oh, I'm sorry, that's middle class according to McCain (People who make less than $5 mil)
No foreign relations?? He has wayyy more than Palin and also Obama/Biden come off as 1. Supporting each other and advising both, McCain & Palin seem like McCain and her.Obama/Biden combined out-everything McCain combined with Palin.

And (God forbid) if McCain passes away.... her? Really??

I have no doubt that one day soon a woman will be Vice President and President. But this lady? Really??

I just don't get it. She's:

Pro Big Oil
Has a scandal that if found guilty willl kill the election
Governor for less than 2 years
Opposes nearly all of Hilary's viewpoints
Wins no states.
Does nothing for the economy.
No foreign relations experience

This video's beginning to spread, Sarah Palin: "What is it exactly that the VP does every day"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pak-rH0d … re=related
(2:57 into the clip)

Sounds like something the mayor of a town of 5,000 should be saying, not The Future of a party.

James are you following the news??  It's an atrocious pick. Jack Cafferty of CNN recv'd 6,000 emails and said "Republicans aren't going to like it" basically all but said game over.

I give you much credit for your forsight, but in reality it's about winning states. He offended women voters by getting a cheerleader for him and basically saying to Hilary supporters "One woman is just as good as the next", she has a scandal, her husband works for Big Oil, she's for off shore drilling (something Florida is against), and she does nothing for McCain's lack of knowledge about the economy. Joe Biden will help win Ohio & W VA, Sarah Palin wins no states. None, Alaska doesn't relate to Ohio, Mich, Fla, W VA, VA etc at all. She has less than 2 years experience, prior to being governor she was mayor of a small town of 5,000 so that "experience" doesn't count. And she comes of as a "Cheerleader" on television. Biden will eat her up in the debates. In 2012 or 2016, good choice. Today, awful choice.

#5765 Re: The Garden » McCain picks Sarah Palin for Vice President » 924 weeks ago

We'll have to wait & see, but I can't see her helping in Ohio, Michigan, or Florida. Flordians do not want off-shore drilling because tourism is about 70% of their economy, and if Exxon Valdez II occurs Florida as a state will cease to exist. She does nothing I repeat NOTHING regarding McCain's lack of knowledge on the economy. Also, I'm hearing her husband works for BP Oil??  Is this serious?!

Jeez, I think it's the start of a decline of McCains chances and a obvious ploy to think he can wooo Hilary supporters. Congratulations for thinking that one woman is as good as the next. Sarah Palin, McCain's second trophy wife.

#5766 Re: The Garden » McCain picks Sarah Palin for Vice President » 924 weeks ago

It's said VP's don't necesarily 'win' elections however they can lose them. It's early to tell, however it's definitely a risk. I give him credit for being a maverick & doing what he wants. But there's alot of drawbacks to her as well. While a woman, she doesn't agree with hardly ANY of Hilary's viewpoints, she's pro big-oil (who's funding McCain's campaign??), she's involved in a scandal, and she has been governor for less than 2 years. Prior to that she was mayor of a town of 5,000 people.

I'm also willing to bet Hilary is probably FUMING over this too. She likely will not want this woman to become VP & will now step up her support for Obama and getting her supporters to swing for Obama. John McCain just woke up a sleeping dragon. Come November it's possible only Ross Perot's choice of Admiral Stockdale rivals this for stupidity.

And it's now official.  James good forsight on this one, you've been saying this for a while.

#5768 Re: The Sunset Strip » The SAW Thread » 924 weeks ago

^^ Yeah Axlin08, the first was is really good. Actually it creeped me out as I wasn't expecting much & saw it on tv late at night. I actually made sure to double check my doors were locked that night. 2 was ok, not bad for a horror sequel, def not as good. I heard what APE said, 3 isn't very good but 4 is. I don't think I've seen them though, I should.

Interesting reports are Sarah Palin is the choice.

#5770 Re: The Garden » Fantasy football anyone? » 924 weeks ago

That sucks about the first pick James. LT isn't a bad 1st pick though, my I have my doubts about SD in general. doesn't really affect fantasy ball, but I know what you mean. Sucks. Oh well, ain't bad
