I dunno, I think he lost all musical integrity with after White Zombie. Now it's just like shitty filler music behind shitty lyrics about horror movies. And yes, I know the lyrics have always been that way, but they seemed to be delivered better and had good music behind them. Now the lyrics are just so... I dunno... radio friendly.

I have to disagree. As an old school White Zombie die hard, I've had nothing but a good time (:haha:) following the trajectory of Zombie's solo career. The more in depth you get into the man's post-White Zombie endeavors, you come to realize how much he was that band, so much so that going solo was never entirely true. Even so, his current band is top notch. When you've got a talent like John 5 on guitar, co-writing music with you, I think that's anything but filler. I understand the post-White Zombie material isn't to everyone's tastes. I also think most of those people unfortunately decided to tune out before the release of the damn good Educated Horses, which was only a sign of things to come. I'm also very pleased with what new material I've heard so far, like the new single coming off the Punisher: War Zone soundtrack 9

All reviews are written from a bias point of view. That's what makes them reviews.

I really enjoyed the Klosterman review, and I don't care for Klosterman.

Zombie's the man. Can't wait for new music and that badass box set.

Let's face it, Axl's played more shows than he's cancelled. The odds aren't that he'll cancel. That's something the media's blown way out of proportion. To anyone who had a show cancelled on them, I'm sorry to hear that for you. But that's Guns N' Roses. That's part of the allure of this band and its frontman. Axl Rose has never played by the rules, so now that there's more chinks in his armor, now that his band is sans Slash, it's easy to really come down on this guy with all your might. It's funny how the things that made you love somebody, that blew them up to mythic proportions, all of a sudden tears them down to trash level. I'm not condoning Axl's actions so much as I'm saying I'm sick of hearing these late start arguments and wish people would just ... move on. Like huntermc's friend did, don't buy another ticket if you're tired of this sort of thing happening. For everyone else, wake up call, that's the band. That's Axl Rose. Either like them or don't.

I also specified in store pickup because I wanted to make sure I had it on release day and not after. Now this shit. Great.

I think I should have made those two different posts. My mentioning the new recordings was an aside, but I didn't mean it to seem like an endorsement of the band's abilities without the original line up (particularly Ace Frehely, Eric Carr was a better drummer than Peter Criss anyway).

PAUL STANLEY talked to Classic Rock Magazine about doing a new KISS album. Here's what he had to say--
Kiss rhythm guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley has confirmed to the Clog that the band are seriously considering recording a new album. Rumours of a brand new Kiss release first surfaced last week on photographer Ross Halfin’s blog. Now Geoff Barton has taken it upon himself to grab the Classic Rock poker and agitate the embers of speculation (poetic, huh?!).Barton recently talked to Stanley and asked him:
What does the future hold for Kiss?
It looks like we’ll be touring Europe as well as the States next year. You’ll be getting more of what you saw at the Download festival this past summer – the Kiss Alive! vibe amped up to the max.
There might even be a new Kiss album at some point. I have been ambivalent to the idea in the past but I’m much more open to it now.
Why is that?
Well, I thought that I'd be content for Kiss to remain a heritage act, just playing our greatest hits – Detroit Rock City and all that. But the new Kiss line-up with Tommy Thayer (guitar) and Eric Singer (drums) is proving to be so good, so strong in spirit, it would interesting to see how we perform in the studio. I must stress that no recording time has been booked at this point. But it if we were to go into the studio, the intention would be to make a Kiss album in the style of our 1970s recordings. A classic Kiss album, unmistakably.
