Yeah I agree. I think right now, at best, it is border line. For a couple of years he played out of this world, then the concussion issues started and was never the same in St Louis, or his short stint with the Giants. This year he really played at a high level. So if they win the Super Bowl, he gets strong consideration.

Two still makes for an interesting conversation. Like I said, only 1 QB with multiple SB victories isnt in the HOF. But to me it seemed like he had a couple of excellent seasons with the Rams and then this year. I dont know if he's done it consistently enough.

From everything I have read, the Broncos owner wanted an offensive minded coach. Thats what they liked about Shanahan. But yeah, I can see your point. Their defense was piss poor.

Warner

Here's an interesting question, if Warner wins another Super Bowl, is he a Hall of Famer?

(3 Super Bowls victories)

He only has one right now, they lost the second to the Pats.

I tell ya what though, I dont really think he is a hall of fame player, a very good one, but not hall of fame. But it would be nearly impossible to keep him out if he wins another. I think I read where only Jim Plunkett is the only QB with multiple Super Bowl wins to not be in the HOF.

Yeah, he's great as was the guy in Tampa Bay, but I think he's leaving to work with his son in U of Tennessee. For the life of me I can't figure out why Rex Ryan of Baltimore never gets a head coaching job. As for Spagnula, I think he's gone. Considering the Jets & Detroit still haven't hired a head coach (i think) they're waiting for somebody. My guess is he goes to the Jets (just a hunch). Not sure who's gonna take the Lions job, they shouldn't wait, because it's possible people don't want it & will turn it down. Didn't something wierd like that happen with San Diego or Oakland a couple years ago.

I think if Spags leaves, it'll be to the Jets. But the Jets have shown an interest in Ryan, so they may go that direction. If he leaves, we'll know soon as there is nothing left for him to do this season. sad

Who can we raid from Johnson's assistants to replace Spags?! 16

Name 5 QB's better than him that are currently playing?

Currently playing as in playoffs? Of those, I'd take Warner, and MAYBE Roethlisberger.

He didnt exactly light up the Giants yesterday. He made the plays when he had to, but still completed just slightly over 50% of his passes. But his team won, and thats all that matters. That defense is on fire and will carry them, just as they did when they made their run earlier this decade. I dont know of any defensive coordinator's I would take over Jim Johnson.

Giants played bad, and I know he's great with challenges, but Coughlin should have never challenged the spot on that 3rd down. No camera view showed anything, so I don't know who told him to do it.

Agreed 110%. That was desperation. He is usually the best when it comes to that type of thing. Seeing it live I knew it was short, but then I thought maybe he sees something. Of course, he was short and it was a wasted challenge.

Its a punch in the gut, but I know we'll get everything worked out in the offeseason. We have 11 picks, plus we get Osi back. We'll be fine. It was just bound to catch up with us, the lack of pass rush, loss of our impact WR. And by the way, I dont think their was a distraction that hurt us, but we definatly missed his presence. No denying that.

Well, congrats to PASnow. The Giants were brutal all around in this one. Bad QB play, our kicker who was money all year decides to choke, bad bad playcalling, our WRs scare no one. We'll have to address that position in the offseason since Plax isnt likely to come back, Toomer is done. Man its gonna be a long offseason.
