The vinyl must have 2 new songs then. That came out of left field.

I think the fact that it was leaked alongside The General would make me infer the leaker assumed (or even knew depending on the source of the leak) Monsters was going to be released as well. I don't see a hoarder unloading a treasure if they didn't know it was going to becom "worthless".

I would say hearing tonights version confirms its slash and duff on the leak?

100% for me. I was in the two eras leak camp, but it's definitely slash and duff on both leaks. Any more debate is qanon level lunacy.

I know it’s too little too late, but I was listening to The General loudly in my car today and it did sound like Slash to me. At least it sounded like it could be him. I still believe the versions that leaked are basically what is going to be released, just mixed better.

Regardless, good sign playing it live. And it did sound pretty close to what we’ve heard. Will “Monsters” be next? Maybe save Atlas, etc. for the next round of dates?

If they play Monsters or Atlas, i would mark out like an AEW fan during an Kenny Omega, Will Ospeary spot fest. I wouldn't care if he went full Mickey on the bridge.

Pretty impressed with his vocals on The General. He is very much on point for a 61 year old man singing in a falsetto. Even though the videos Ive watched are poop quality he sounds pretty good on everything else as well. Just when I think I'm out and have gotten closure, they pull me back in.

I watched part of the live show from last night too and Axl sounds good live right now
its too bad the tour is almost over

Dare I say he might actually be enjoying himself. Slash didn't exactly seem bored either during the song. Band has always sounded tight....except Frank eating 7 Adderall 30's before playing. I might be in the euphoric moment, but the live version seems head and shoulders better than the WFA edit that leaked.

Hopefully this puts an end to those still insisting “that is F iNcK playing on The General, not $la$h”

I was sure about Monsters. But was questioning General. I am no longer unsure. This should put the debate to rest. Axl didn't sound too bad either. Nice.

Turns out the calls were coming from inside the house. Sounds like mystery solved on who is playing guitar in the demos?

I don’t know about the locker leaks, but there was more material from the batch in 06

Most certainly. Rember the guy from HTGH that posted sorry lyrics years before we ever got the album. He definitely had source material that was after the village sessions.

The more important thing is we don't know if those new 'overdubs' were taken, simply, from alternate takes during the original recording sessions. That's why I PERSONALLY don't think we've heard any post, let's say 2002 or so vox on ANY of the CD material or leaks we've had our hands on thereafter. Obviously I don't have much to draw that conclusion from except for the perceptible change in how he sounds on "Angel Down" and, later, "Rock the Rock"..

I could very well be wrong, like I said, its just my opinion - the problem is we don't have enough of a data set to form a more conclusive one, at this point in time.. who knows, though smile

No shit it all the leaks basically are from the village session era. Minus the remixes , Shacklers  , Scrapped.

But you know this.

You know there are a bunch of uncirculated village session era dics.

The way you use certain language in your post reminds me of another individual.

I'm coming at you directly not trying to be rude but hoping you want to share with the community a proper history lesson.

We can all see that players at the table again. the last go around in 2019 wasn't what it appeared. The question is how the river card plays out this time.

Ps the Patrice documentary disappointed me.

If Monsters is infact Robin on there and not Slash it would not suprise me if it was from the Village sessions the ones without BH on them.

Even though I'm sure i hear Slash and Duff on Monsters....I'm an idiot. I agree with Dave, if this is an early demo, it predates Buckethead's contributions.
