for those gnr "historians"...do these dates carry any meaning within them....?...i.e...anniversaries of whatever in Axl's life or whatnot...?...sic...would you know?
I think he'd be 50?! Not sure that means anything.. Also 25 year after AFD, again, probably meaningless unless a spiritual advisor suggested it.

FDR. He guided the country thru the Great Depression and WWII, two of the biggest events of the 20th Century. He formed the WPA began hiring men to keep people employed and able to feed their families, began the building of this countries roads and highways, started the FDIC and took steps to prevent another great stock market crash of 1929, started the origins of Social Security, After Hawaii was bombed he entered WWII and whooped ass, catapulting America into the Superpower it became known to be. After the war, the country was set for prosperous economic times, as the post-war housing boom le to construction of homes in cities and towns across the country, leading post-war men & women to get married, buy a house and a car, hit the bedroom & give birth to the Baby Boomers. All this while in a fucking wheelchair, and alot of the American public didn't even know it.

No, but they will take the fall for it because it happened on their watch.
Agreed. Looking at the two of them & current & near future conditions, it's a long shot either one makes it sucessfully into a second term.

Sounds like a good show, I'll have to keep an eye out. I never watch that channel either. Not yet at least.

The worst part for me was when the son says "I just want to get it started the day I walk out of here". What a little bitch.
I never realized the crash was that bad, I just saw pictures of the car now.

who says they want to be liberated....if they wanted to be liberated then they would havea civil war...thats what they are for....what do you think would happen if someone invaded the states to make them a dictatorship.
who are you or I to tell another country what kind of political system is best for them?
I agree with you on that, but what's done is done. The US (fortunately or unfortunately) already went to war. My thing is now remaining focused on why we went to war in the first place.
#6129 Re: The Garden » A McCain landslide in November?? » 937 weeks ago
except war isnt a business...they should have reconsidered before going into iraq in the first place...now thousands of lives have been lost and billions of dollars have been spent and the US is entering a recession...
My only problem with that Neemo is suddenly we're only going to continue people who voted for the war and are still for remaining in Iraq. That weeds out the other viewpoint, especially since pretty much nobody is "on record of voting against invasion". In addition, by refusing to vote for a "flip flopper" more $$ and more lives have now been lost. Personally, I am ok with supporting someone who has changed their mind, rather than supporting someone going down the wrong path. What's done is done. We're in Iraq now. It doesn't matter if someone voted for it or against it, the point is we're there now. Also, this invasion was intended to liberate Iraq, and make them a democracy. We need to get on track with that, and not continue this as "a war".

Whatever, all I'm trying to say is this election hasn't even begun. It's amusing these pundits are beginning to claim it can possibly be over.
