I spent quite a bit of time at NIU.  Sad doesn't even begin to describe how I feel.

I can't believe people are still trying to make excuses for Axl.

The "big" three albums?  I must have slept through that decade - as far as I can tell, they had zero big albums.

He just lacks regarding trying to replicate something that was already magical when he arrived. Its not his fault. Any other guitarist would be in the same position. I actually look forward to hearing any possible new songs recorded with him after he arrived, or at least hear some songs with his presence that we haven't heard BH on. That is when we will truly know what he is capable of in this band.

This is Guns N' Roses in a couple lines.  It sums up the ENTIRE history of the band as a recording entity.

I think Amy sucks.  I think she has some talent, but she gets more attention for shit she does than she ever will for her talent.  I don't have a lot of respect for people like that (ahem...Axl).  I'm all for partying and getting fucked up, but when it keeps you from being able to even go to another country, it's time to get some serious help. I completely disagree. I love both of her CDs and I thought her performance was great.

I'm not sure how you could disagree with the bolded part.  She's British Britney, but on a smaller scale because (frankly) less people in the US care.

Her talent is being overshadowed by her actions, and she plays it up.  Weak.  If you're that good, then be that good.  She's not that good.  She's ok.  Ok shouldn't be winning Grammys because of the exposure they get beyond their talents...it's the music industry selling out.  This definately taints the VR Grammy for me because it's possible they were doing the same then.  How you can honor someone as talented as Herbie Hancok and her at the same ceremony is beyond me...and don't even try to tell me she has more talent than Hancock.

I like STP, but I'm not excited about this at all.  I'm happy for those that want it, but STP was washed up when they broke up in my opinion.  Best to let it be.

Guys on the radio while I was driving back from Athens GA last night were trying to say that this clears the way for a GnR reunion.  They obviously don't get it.

Clinton fabricated war for a different reason.  His was a C. Y. A. deal.  He wasn't in a hurry to do anything until it was his ass that was in trouble.

Well, whatever the reason, Saddam is out and I won't shed any tears over that.  The better option would have been to send in a special forces unit to kill him, but it's too late for that.  Don't forget Clinton was dying to go to war as well.  This isn't anything new - it's just taken to a new extreme.  Someone along the lines will top this unfrotunately.  Hopefully we won't have a prsident that weakens our military before that happens.
