He's understandably frustrated, too. BLS, I'm surprised you haven't thrown this one out there yourself by now, but I could see Anselmo gelling well with at least Slash and Duff.

Former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash has told BBC News that he is pleased that GN'R's long-awaited album is finally going to see the light of day.
"Chinese Democracy", which has been over a decade in the making, will be released in the U.S. exclusively through Best Buy on November 23.
Slash said: "I'm glad it's finally coming out after all this time. It's good to hear Axl's [Rose] voice again. That's what's cool. But I'm not in the band and I haven't had any input into the record."
Asked whether there is any chance of the band getting back together in the future, he added: "You know what everybody asks the same question. But how the fuck would I know?"
Slash added that his current band VELVET REVOLVER was continuing its singer search following the departure of Scott Weiland quit earlier this year.
"We're trying to find a singer for VELVET REVOLVER still," Slash said. "We've got a lot of really good ones but I don't know if we've found the guy yet but it's plodding along and I'm trying to get that together."

I wonder what the R stands for. Orange juice?

Death Magnetic actually had a pretty sizeable amount of hype and has gone on to become on of the top sellers of 2008 in less than two months. It also still tops the charts and has been part of a push to see hard rock/heavy metal back on the charts. Coupled with the new AC/DC, GN'R is entering a music climate bent far more in their favor than the climate of even 2006. Wait and see.

As has been said, there's enough killer metal and rock that's been released already this year to tide us over. Death Magnetic owns, and that's what I too have been listening to in these weeks leading up to CD. Also Nostradamus, which I've pretty much played out for a good year or so. Still, if it's new to you, check it out.

I won't download it. I'd rather buy it and support the music ... and not spoil the last decade of my life on a shitty leak. The label needs to see support from the fanbase. The band needs to see that. Even Axl needs to see that. I think we can all hold off for a fucking month.

Rob Zombie has debuted the new song War Zone off the Punisher: War Zone soundtrack as his band's latest single. For fans of Zombie, just one listen should have you hooked. He's sticking with the direction he found within the band scenario on Educated Horses, which is a good thing, because John 5 tears the shit out of this song. Great stuff. Check it out.
#659 Re: The Sunset Strip » Horror Franchises that Should be Killed Off » 916 weeks ago
It's a shit list and ill-researched. There will be a rebuttal. For now....
There was never a Lost Boys "franchise." Hellraiser regained its footing within the next immediate sequel (if only to lose it again). Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers is a strong concept executed very poorly, but to say it killed the series is grossly inaccurate. H20, while its merits are often debated, was a pop culture hit and generally well received by everyone. Resurrection killed the original franchise and I'm sick of defending Zombie's remake to people who didn't like the first one enough to be offended in the first place. The Dream Master is actually a series high point for the Nightmare flicks. Not all of us think hair metal is funny, either. That point in which Englund's Freddy turned sarcastic? It's a syndicated TV show called Freddy's Nightmares, which in itself is actually pretty fun. The Dream Child is the weakest link. Friday VII features the best zombie Jason, the one that would identify him in pop culture from then on out. It also introduced fan favorite Kane Hodder and was originally conceived as an early attempt at Freddy vs. Jason, hence the supernatural foe. I won't dispute any of the Howling sequels. We have a thread on ... that. TCM 2 is an operatic masterpiece of carnage, better directed and executed than the (still superior) original and misunderstood by most.

This thread didn't need to be resurrected for this, although I'm excited for you strat0.
