#61 Re: Guns N' Roses » ProShot Question » 313 weeks ago

nope. only a few snippets (like TMV report from Tacoma 2002) and some audience footages aimed on the big screens, which are somewhat proshot-ish, but it's technically not proshot of course.

@otto: still I find it a bit strange. Chinese Whispers only talk about involvement of those two in summer (likely July) 2002. so I find it hard to believe one or both those were involved already some years earlier. is there some source for that information? cuz I can't find any...

Hey! Nice work, as always!

Since the volume of information is increasing - and probably going to increase even more in the future - I'd recommend to split the file into tabs, one for each 3 to 5 years period, to help speed up browsing and discovery.

Something like 85 - 88 | 89 - 92 | 93 - 96 | 97 - 00 | 01 - 04 | 05 - 08 | 09 - 12 | 13 - 16 etc

thanks, I'll think about it! the problem is, this might fragment the sheet a bit too much and it might become a bit confused. MAYBE I might just split it into pre-AFD, AFD, UYI, and ChiDem parts.
(the sheet was primarily made for my own use and I never intended to share it publicly, it was only used as my source which I'd then copy&paste into forums - but later I decided it would be no harm to share the sheet itself too smile )

sheet updated as much as possible. I couldn't be bothered to include the latest SoG clip, but the rest should be quite accurate.
as always - ANY ideas are welcome! in the future I'll probably add some more info into recording sessions for better context (band members, producers, etc).

The full track will blow your mind.

Should I hold out for the full song? Is it imminent?

I'd say it's likely, but I have no idea about if "soon is the word" or rather "soon-ish".

the mix is very rough and the vocals are not cutting through at all

but this probably also is thanks to leakers' serious manipulation of this clip, I think

There is Beltrami and other instrumentations prior to October 2002. His tenure with GNR ended by October 2002.

care to elaborate a bit more on that? I can't do the research on my own at the moment.
it would help me improve the sheet of sessions
thanks! smile

#68 Re: Guns N' Roses » Another Lot of Songs Discovered » 314 weeks ago

I wonder what this is. could easily be a mix of various bands. the problem is, that if someone faked this, it's a fake with some really interesting attention to detail.
for example:

-Chinese Democracy DG from la
-Chinese Democracy SG from la
-Prostitute Original Drums from la
these above have a nasty similartities to the "Zutaut locker" tracklists

-Last Village Mix [04] Catcher Ron
indeed GNR have been confirmed to work at Village in 2004. but Ron? I remember he was in some talks with GNR back then, but a session?

+ Estranged with Buckethead sounds crazy, but certain people mentioned that a few months back at GNFNR and a few days ago they repeated it to me (the guy said he's been trying to hunt that down for 11 years to no avail).

the guess is yours.

CD's are not from the same period, they were just acquired together but to each its own.

Perhaps is literally on a disc called Rough Mixes 1, PRL on a disc Rough Mixes 2 and Thyme on Mixes 4... they are all from the same period.

Thyme is not even a song and just the name of the instrumental arrangement made by Beltrami.
"Same period" is an interesting concept, tho.

I'm not sure you're correct on this. Beltrami only made the instrumentals for a few songs (including Thyme) in October 2002. these tracks are clearly much older than that.

LOL sorry man but I'm going to go terminator fan boy on you.  You Could Be Mine was in terminator 4 aka terminator salvation.

that might explain a lot. I watched that but I don't barely remember anything from it. even T3:ROTM was quite entertaining movie for me, but T4:S was very weird. I skipped T5:G completely.
