1. Gnr cancelled two shows on me in Atlanta during the UYI tour. Shit happened then too.
2. Anybody that compares Gnr in any form where Axl is on stage to Poison, needs a smite.
3. I'll never forget seeing Gnr play Nov Rain for the first time in Noblesville, Indiana before the albums came out. Never will forget the redneck next to me bitching about Axl playing piano. People headed for the restroom stalls in droves. That shit happens to all bands. New songs always get lukewarm receptions-Gnr was absolutely no exception. I believe I can quote the redneck "Axl Rose plays piano? I wanna hear Welcome to the Jungle god damnit!"
4. The Hammerstein shows I went to rocked hard. It wasn't fake at all. IRS, Better, and CD were great and got solid receptions. Bootlegs and internet viewings of rock shows are shit. You need to be there. If you have been to as many concerts as you claim, you should know that.
5. The old band played some awful shows. I went to 7 on the UYI tour so I am fairly qualified to have an opinion.
6. I simply like both bands.

and Richard answers with "heard"-hear and "label has album" in the same sentence.......I think he answered the first question. It doesn't matter, cause we still don't have a release date.:flame:

Actually, if all he cared about was money, he would have dropped this project after the 2002 disaster and reunited the old band for a big cash grab tour-a real true sellout....2 sides to every coin Buzz.:peace:
Axl isn't that simple to dissect-he is quite a complex character. You love him-you hate him, he can be the nicest guy in the world and the biggest asshole. He is truly a walking contradiction.:headbang:

The Eagles of Death Metal would have been fine, but Axl kinda fucked that one up!:haha:

seriously, the whole thing is a joke. These guys and all the shitty opening acts the last few years are complete wannabe's. They have the balls to criticize a guy who has sold over 90 million albums. Worldwide, this clown hasn't even done 2 million.
Either way, it is somebody's fault for scheduling these crap bands. While Faith No More, Soundgarden, etc were definitely not that friendly either, they had clear, recognizable talent and they were their contemporaries, they were the same age. (and they were great bands). These last few years have just been brutal. For the most part, opening acts just suck. Either co-headline with a top shelf act, or just go it alone.
In the mid seventies, Dylan did a tour called The Rolling Thunder Revue. He had a large group of eclectic musicians who would come out and play their solo stuff, then all collaborate with Dylan for his show. I think it would be cool for Tommy to play some solo stuff, Bumble, Diz, Richard...they could make it a nice hodge podge of various rock and roll stuff. Then, finish it off with Axl and the Gnr thing. You have to think outside of the box. 90% of a Gnr audience wants nothing to do with the current music scene. They really aren't gaining any new fans by having these younger bands. I'm ramblin'.:nervous:

or, why hang out with a bunch of people that your manager hired, who you have NOTHING in common with, and are half your age?:ummm:

maybe they were just a bunch of assclowns that he didn't want to hang out with....:butt: ungrateful pricks, they were god awful at the Hammerstein shows.
