She's awesome, and I was thinking the same thing in the thread with the link to her singing with Slash.

Awesome factoids on the unplayed songs. Can't understand why DDM and SGB never got played, even if they aren't heavy hitters. Either would've sounded great with the band's fucked up energy and anger.
Can completely understand why no Get In The Ring or My World. I wish they'd fucked around with an alternate GITR, more akin to Duff's original approach. Even let Duff sing it. That song has total balls, but was completely cartoonish in its final form. One thing that always cracked me up was "...and in this corner, weighing in at 850 pounds, Guns! And! Roses!" So not counting the touring act, you're looking at 6 141# junkies coming at you. For some reason, I always picture soaking wet cartoon alley cats trying to look badass. smile

I know there's a "we can fuck you however we want" clause on the back of most tickets, but if this true, despite my love for the band/Axl, I'd hope they got smashed with a class action lawsuit.

I vote yes. Who goes all the way to London for one night?

Time is shit. Live long enough, and you WILL get kicked in the nuts by it. I go back and forth on Axl, but right now I'm back to he's doing the best he can, even if that seems really fucked up.

+1 on best vocals in rnr history

I guess I can't overstate how much I love Izzy. I love his solo stuff, too. It's not epic or anything, but it's very Tom Petty meets Stones meets Dylan. Straight up rock and easily the best non-Axl GNR solo stuff to my mind. Not taking away from the others' efforts, all of which I like to varying degrees, but Izzy is like George Harrison to me. The quietest, the one who flies under the radar and isn't interviewed or sought out as much, but who marches to his own beat and puts out stuff that he likes. And some of it is interesting on its own, and some of it is more interesting if you're already a fan.

Sounded great to me. Axl's voice ain't 1991, but it wasn't bad either. I love Izzy, and I'm glad to see a new old song get played. I think (hopefully this lasts once I'm no longer sober) I'm going to stop throwing Axl's words ("moving forward", etc.) back at him in my mind, and just try to enjoy the truly cool moments, like this entire show. Take the zen approach. Maybe something new will happen and that will be an unexpected bonus.

I'm just gonna come out and say it. Axl needs to sing The Blues laying down from now on- he sounded great. big_smile

When did Perfect Crime start showing up on the setlist again? Has that been for awhile now?
