It's called the flu Einstein & it happens every year. I had it too as did half my works office. China didn't start noticing it there until December. Secondly, even if it was in the US in November as you claim that puts it back on the CDC's failure to not publicly ask Americans to be cautious until mid-March. Although that's to be expected since he fired everybody & his cabinet is full of Betsy Devos's.
Either way, Trumps a failure. Thank you, good night!

Keep in mind they're jetsetting across the country, changing time zones, living in hotels, giving 40 minute speeches sometimes twice a day. Hour long limo rides back & forth from the airport, standing for upwards of an hour 2 or 3 times a day, every day, 6 or 7 days a week. For 70+, it's gotta be difficult.

Just stop for a second. First it's one situation of someone being reckless. Is public transportation shut down in NY now? It wasn't before and it probably wasn't in other locations either, so the guy still would have been driving a bus and someone that doesn't give a shit still would have coughed on his bus. We don't make decisions based on one-off situations.
Well if every McDonalds Burger King & Wendys was open in the country how many other deaths do you think there would be??? Also, buses & public transit ridership have been drastically lowered, so there would've been (and have been) more bus driver deaths, police deaths etc.
Forget it, you can't argue with this. The guy claims his wife had Coronavirus in November cause his wife had a cold & took some NyQuil. I can't even, I just can't.

I honestly have no clue. I haven’t really even seen Biden since the big primaries in Illinois and other states.
Is he still making appearances? He seems to have been pushed to the back of the new cycle.
No, I just brought it up now that Bernie ended his campaign, somewhat officially making Biden the Dem nom. I'm with you on not having seen him, I'll admit this whole news cycle has not helped him, it's kept him out of the limelight, although in a way that can be a positive.
I think he's too old. He has too many gaffe's that aren't gaffe's anymore. They're borderline or essentially early Parkinsons. I hate to say it, sounds cruel but it was noticeable. Plus he didn't campaign hard in Iowa or NH, and focused on SC then NV, then it was basically over. So he hasn't been tested in a long campaign trail like Hillary in 2016 and remember she had moments of wearing out. Bidens gaffe's won't hold up. I think his campaign knows it, and I think the DNC has been informed of it. Personally, I think something drastic happens. Either a funded 3rd party candidate or something big happens at the convention.

Buzzsaw, take a look at the bus driver from Detroit who made the FB video about a rider coughing on the bus with no regard for safety. Then he died 3 weeks later. Are you telling me if he stayed home, or she stayed home, he still would've died?

Having said all that, bars & retaurants, tourism etcc remains way down all year. Plus when next flu season picks up they slow down all over again. I bet next years Mardi Gras is a record low.

Glad to see the predictions of hundreds of thousands prove to be wrong, and the numbers starting to peak. Hopefully we can start putting people back to work in 2-3 weeks now that we know what the real numbers look like.
I said all along it would likely go till May, with telecommuting remaining relatively optional thru Memorial Day, majority of the country reopens in June (back to normalcy so to speak).
The country somewhat 'unofficially' gets past it late summer/Labor Day. NFL season opener is kindof a statement of 1st day we are back, although MLB has a season of lowered attendance.
Really it's just following China's timeline. 75 day shutdown of Wuhan I think.

What's so hard to grasp about this??
Lol...the quarantine accomplished nothing...what's so hard to understand about that? People already spread it. It's too late. Quarantine the at risk. Nothing is being accomplished with anything else they are doing.
If there weren't shutdowns there would be 10X more deaths in the US. We implemented mass shutdowns 3 weeks ago and viola, coincidentally NYC is beginning to show a decrease in numbers.

Italian isn't my strong point, but apparently 60 volunteers who thought they'd never suffered COVID-19 gave blood. 40 of them tested positive for antibodies to the virus. Way more people have had the virus than anyone knows; the death rate is going to turn out to be ridiculously low from people that were infected. The more time goes on, the more it looks like I was right and we way overreacted to this.
Every country on the planet enforced mass shutdowns. Every one of 'em. Yet you feel America 'overreacted'??? Cite 1 country who didn't shut down.
1?
Sweden
Ok, I'll give you that. HOWEVER, they shut down gatherings of 50 or more (ie. MLB, NHL, NBA, weddings, concerts etc), high schools, and colleges. That right there is already unprecedented in the US. Only 9/11 I believe caused anything close to this, and I think most only shut down for 1 week.
Swedens also a fairly isolated country as well. I'm not sure NYC or London could follow Sweden's lead on things, different animals & cultural makeup & international travelers.

I think he nods a female Gov, not sure who. Otherwise Klobuchar.
