ONLY Slash & Duff (yes him too) can play those Appetite songs right. New Guns is an amazing band, but they look like the cover band they are when the old co. starts playing old songs. I remember when VR would perform that stuff with Matt on drums it sounded so fuckin' right, then Weiland would come in and throw it all off.

I don't wanna personally get into an Old vs New thing cos I really love both bands...but I will say Slash and Duff do really nail those songs, not suprising given they wrote them, and VR's versions of the GNR songs if you exclude the vocal peformance - were always killer musically....

Here's another:

It's kinda the reason I want a future for VR with a new singer...slash and duff just work SO WELL together....when you have chemestry like that..and your still friends....it's crazy for them to go forming other bands....

Dreamline's own version of the star logo destroys that. If I was forced to get a CD era logo, thats actually what I would get(with gnrevolution removed of course).

Agreed actually....how about a desktop version for us Dreamline? That's a pretty awesome logo you've done there!

They used to post comments insulting people who threatened them with legal action...guess they pissed someone off.

I disagree...while a shrink can't fix what you have genuine reason to be upset over...they can teach you skills to deal with being that upset. They can't change life but they can help you moderate your responce to shitty things. Worked for me anyway.

14 No. To this very day, they still haven't released a CD era logo I would ever consider putting on my arm.

Yeah the old GNR logos were killer. I quite like this one though:

Actually these jackasses proved why they are in their 30's and working at a Domino's Pizza.

As a former lawyer I can tell you there are even more jackasses working in the corporate world than in customer service. 14

The american dream (and by extension my country australia) is that people can come from nothing to be president or famous, and the cool thing is some can through plain hard work, but it seems socologically we then apply the reverse logic, that if someone isn't sucessful then it's somehow their fault or they are a bad person. It's why we allow homeless people. On some level we think they just didn't try or deserve it. But really not everyone gets the same chances in life, and some people are just unlucky and so on.

These two are clearly idiots for messing with people's food, but it's got nothing to do with their jobs.

One thing I always liked about the guy is he always makes the Slash haters look like hypocrites. Slash is a media whore when he's on Guitar Hero, but when Fortus does it he's a guitar god. Slash is a sellout if he performs a song on stage with Fergie, but Fortus is awesome when he goes on tour with Rihanna.

Fortus, do yo thang....

Very true! That kinda thing drives me nuts. I'm quite a fan of fortus...not sure i'd elevate him to slash's level though, as slash is one of the most iconic guitarists of our era. But I dig fortus' style. Personally I like it when all of these dudes do stuff, the more music musicians make the better in my opinion! But yeah...it's pretty crazy the double standard that's applied huh!

yeah I'd love a boot of it too. Kinda disapointed that it was ISE cos he's played that so much recently with VR...one day I'd love him to pull out something from UYI or something! But still...this would be way cool to see.

It was a fresh chance when Ron joined, when Robin rejoined, when Richard joined, etc...it's always a fresh chance, though history says expect more of the same.

But each of those people got us a step closer to where we are today, we have an extra Axl record that we didn't have back in the day....I agree that someone new joining doesn't mean Axl will stop doing stuff his way, but I do think the loss of Robin could actually turn out to win over some fans that his style had upset...

how long ago was the DJ announcement?  What has happened (I mean actually happened, not rumored to have happened) since?

Yeah the wheels do turn slow at times. But in the end stuff seems to happen...just think...this time last year we would have been debating if the album would ever come out.
