Elvis was the king ans it ain't for nothing man. I agree that Freddy Mercury was great perhaps better than Axl but Elvis is the man. My top 5 would be way different to that list.

He was the bassist for Soundgarden.I would say there is a better chance of Beta singing next tour than there is of him joining GNR.

I don't think so actually. I don't think Ron is THAT kind of player. He just there for the music and fans imo. He feeds off of it.
He comes across as a guitar hero, but in a very refreshing 'humble' way. Could be wrong, but he doesn't strike me as a very egotistical person.
I do think it's quite interesting that this album is finally being released, and Ron has just as much of a contribution as Robin, with Bucket taking the cake, and that Robin is staying with NIN and not returning.
Could it be that Bucket returning was always apart of the plan, and Ron's strong ability basically forced Robin out of the masterplan?
Just something to chew on.
Ron does seem VERY humble. But I don't think Bucket will return if Ron is in. I would hope so but I don't think so. If we actually have a lineup of Ron and Bucket in GNR. If they can release another record sooner than in 14 years, I think Ron and Bumble could make people get over the old lineup. Especially if Freese would come back on board on drums.

I don't have anything against Robin at all, and he's a very capable player with decent stage presence... but Buckethead is freakin' Buckethead. That dude has a role on a Slash-level.
Robin never stood a chance at the alpha role when Bucket came in. Even Ron, Bucket's replacement, pretty much owns Robin on stage.
A Ron/Bucket combo... good God, I drool at the thought.
Although I wish that would happen, I don't think it will cause it'll be another alpha male war going on. But I wish Bucket would come back.

I remember Axl saying that on the Illusion records that Slash or Duff wouldn't play on certain songs if their songs weren't recorded. The same shit happened with Velvet Revolver on Libertad. I ain't saying Weiland ain't to blame here cause I'm sure part of the blame lies on him (like part of the blame for GNR breaking up lies on Axl) but Duff and Slash and Matt aren't completely angels either.

This is going to be interesting.
If Axl wants Slash in then Slash would do it in a nanosecond. That I do believe. He wouldn't be able to play Bucket's parts on the new songs but that is another story.

Zakk Wylde would be awesome! Izzy coming back is a pipe dream unless there is a reunion. I hope he replaces Fortus but I don't think so. Ain't sure about an 09 tour but if there is one then it'll be interesting to see who replaces Robin.
