True...but then to this day he travels the world with the band as a part of the crew...don't think he'd mind the site going AWOL...he won at GNR....

Makes me wonder if it was the other way around though.
Like Axl just woke up and decided it was time for a reunion?
Or did it seem like a good idea when the record company wasn't interested in another CD album, and the band was getting forced into smaller and smaller venues.

Cool stuff.
Does any one have any of the other albums they've done? Are they remixed and remastered? I'd be curious to know how they sound, as while I love metaliica, the recordings sound very old when compared to modern releases these days. New mixes would be awesome.

No one expects Axl to work for free.
However, given this tour is literally grossing hundreds of millions of dollars, it doesn't seem unreasonable to desire that he either also did something simply for artistic sake or just to please the multitudes that have supported him into such success.
For example Motley did a single as part of their retirement tour. No one took it too seriously, but it was a gesture.
Like seriously, he could do literally anything, most of which would cost almost nothing. How about releasing that alternate TIL and putting Slash on it? Not like he'd even have to compose something at this stage.

wow 10 years!
To be honest though I thought it would have been slightly longer...maybe i'm thinking of the ROV days...or meeting some of you on HTGTH before...but I kinda feel like we've known each other even longer!
Next year is the 10 year anniversary of CD, and 17 years since they debuted Silkworms....something to blow the mind hahah

They seem to lack the intention.
Record label can't stop them performing a new song live but they don't.

The Record company being the record company is going to try and rip off the band.
Guns N' Roses being Guns N' Roses will try and take the company for all they can get.
Team Brazil being Team Brazil will not have the negotiation experience to resolve this conflict.
Thus we wait....and don't even get a 30th Aniversary AFD let alone new music. Maybe a 10 year SE version of CD next year?
I'll keep waiting.

I love Madagascar although I was hoping Slash would do the solo in the middle and change the arrangement a bit like they did with CD and Better.
To me the Bucket solo never really fit the song and the music was begging for a nice classic slash middle solo there. It's like the first half of the song is great, then there's noodling and samples, then a token 3rd verse and it just ends. Wonderful inspirational song but it really needs to go somewhere musically that it does't from around half way onwards.
TWAT is probably my favourite GNR song but it doesn't work when Axl can't/won't do the screams...the whole song builds to those...without them it's kinda just frustrating.
It's cool that they're mixing up the set a bit though.
