Re: Spears gives up kids after standoff

Even networks sometimes do this as well, if they think a celebrity is going to die they will already have programming ready for when that happens and rip graphics as well.   Although that is usually when a celeb is very sick not just because someone is going insane.

Re: Spears gives up kids after standoff

The latest

TMZ has learned Commissioner Scott Gordon has repeatedly ordered Britney Spears to undergo a psychological evaluation but she has refused to comply.

We're told the Commish has issued multiple orders -- known as a 730 evaluation. Now, as we just reported, Brit's family and professionals have devised a plan to get her mental health help in a "creative way." But given his previous orders, the Commish may not be receptive, and almost certainly K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, will object.

Evaluating bipolar disorder is a long process. If it's done pursuant to a 730 evaluation, the results are submitted to the court. If the Commish were to accept the alternative form of treatment, a doctor-patient privilege could prevent certain information from making its way to the court (unless the privilege is waived).

Here's the likely scenario based on what we're hearing: K-Fed (and probably the court) will not want Brit to bypass the 730 evaluation process. That could make it unlikely for Brit's lawyers to win a bid to regain visitation in a therapeutic setting.

We'll be live streaming video at the courthouse tomorrow morning. Stay tuned.

She really needs to do this if she wants to see those kids again.

We have not seen the last of Britney nor have her kids. Taking someones kids away permanently is a very difficult affair in this country, thank God.

Just the liberal press having a hey day at some ones expense...thats what they do....

I definitely heard the rumor about K-Fed and Britney's mother in the press at some point.

As far as the Scientology rumor if its true give them time if she really is getting involved they will pull her underground as soon as they can do it with out scaring her (might not be possible yet). Since vulnerable people make up the majority of their recruits (see the links above) they are rather skilled at it. It will be important to them to do what is in their best interest to salvage her career and help her get her children back in her life. Unfortunately you cannot really call them a CULT because they have written down their beliefs. Crazy you can call them crazy, but they tend to hang out in packs, you do that at your own peril. Somewhere there are picture of me getting thrown out of the Scientology center...Not before I got the photo shoot done. ah Hollywood, don't miss it at all...

Yeah right and wrong are easier to define than normal:)

In 1998, my then boyfriend and i tried to investigate scientology because a friend had been embrigaded ?
Well, our home got " visited".

The only funny thing is that we went to theor center and did all we could to answer their 1000 page long test and we were both refused " in".

lol...too sane i guess..

You make me want to find that video! Some one who can relate!

Re: Spears gives up kids after standoff

Britney Spears was shut down in her attempt to regain some sort of visitation. There are no changes. K-Fed has sole custody and no visitation for Brit for now.

Brit arrived at the courthouse and went through the metal detector, but then had a change of heart and didn't want to go inside the courtroom.

Sources told TMZ Brit wanted visitation restored in a "therapeutic setting" -- meaning under the treatment of medical professionals -- but that wasn't gonna happen, especially since she never showed to make a plea. The Court noted Brit's absence.

As we first reported, Brit has some sort of bipolar disorder. The Commish has repeatedly ordered her to get a medical evaluation, but she has refused to comply.

Maybe if she'd comply with some of the court orders, she'd get to see her kids again.  roll

Permanently taking the children of even the mentally ill or the mentally retarded is difficult in this country. She will see her kids again even if a medical professional deems her mentally ill. Should this court choose to ignore this moving forward and ignore case law on the matter a good lawyer will appeal and win. This is a difficulty for people all over the country who might be trying to protect their children from these forces, one can only hope Hollywood for once portrays this in keeping with the current laws in this country but it is Hollywood who knows.
