This is not about promotion because if Axl had agreed to play there's no way in fuck myles would have been asked to come within the state line of the place.
This is because in 1993 when Axl wouldn't play they'd have to wait out the back and not play until he would.
This is because, steven excepted, they've spent the better part of the decade making politically correct statements about Axl, even when he spews bile back at them, and because even after all the recent pussyfooting and diplomacy in the press and even after 20 years - Axl just told them to go fuck themselves.
So in 2012 when Axl won't play, rather than hide out the back, they will play - what it comes down to is why should they miss the honouring of their life time achievements because Axl won't play?
If anyone is making this about current endevours, it's not Slash bringing myles, it's Axl who won't play because of his new GNR line up. That's the guy worried about promotion right there. IF Axl was playing MYLES WOULD NOT BE THERE.
It will be interesting to see how Duff and Matt react to him, given Matt wanted him in VR twice and Slash stole him for his own purposes though!

No one is begrudging them playing, monkey, it's just that people don't like Myles singing, or that it seems like a Slash solo show, which really isnt a big deal. It's their night. Everyone is happy for them.

Well at least we can listen to it. Lame that HBO bought the rights to DELAY showing it for a month. Normally it's the opposite, you pay money for the rights to show it live.
