The next album is done and was in that state since CD came out and it is all Buckethead//Brain/Finck material which the current band members play over, except trademark eyeliner guy.

For sure, its my favourite thing about GNR now is exploring the rumors...the reality is so mundane these days.
I would devour a book by Matt Sorum for this reason.

Does anyone think that if Axl had the opportunity to get Bucket back he'd take it? I only ask because there does seem to be something weird between Axl and Ron... I didn't really think about it until I read the rumors above. He seems to have really taken to DJ, but I don't see the same thing between Axl and Ron.

Nice topic, Otto. Those rumors came from "youthinkso" at mygnr, right? Taken with a grain of salt, but interesting.
I would be all for Bucket being reintroduced. That would certainly make it easier for Axl to release the old stuff. It would also mean GNR has a guitar virtuoso that loves GNR, who is amazingly proficient at writing, recording and releasing quality music.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if attempts to get Bucket back have led to delays - both of CD, and of subsequent releases. As much as I like the guys in the band, I'd have no problem with Axl dumping the lot, and offering the world to Bucket for him to return.

Evader: yes, it was a post from youthinkso who also claims to be the one who posted the lyrics from Sorry in 06.
He posted another part of lyrics, that people are claiming from Soul Monster:
"And they say the stars don't look the same
I may have changed yet I have my soul to claim"
Other things that back the guy up: Remember Sturgis and the tension between the band? Ron leaving the stage for 4 or 5 songs and then ranting on Twitter about delays, not releasing music...
I don't know, but all seems very plausible for me. Ron is a prolific guy and has a respectable carreer prior to joining GNR but I doubt he'd have high profile gigs as flying to Dubai to play with a local band if he wasn't in GN'R (and also talented and accessible to fans).
