Condolences James. My grandparents are in their mid 90's, and my grandfather has had a rough year health wise. I went to see them last month for the first time in a few years and the difference was pretty drastic. Makes it even tougher that they're a 6 hour plane ride away. Getting old isn't easy, and seeing the ones we love get older is even harder. Remember the good times though, and it sounds like they were plentiful.

James, many apologies for being late on this. I'm so sorry for your loss, my condolences are with you and your family. Reading your first post reminded me of how close me and my grandmother were, she passed away almost two years ago. We too loved to debate about politics and I always loved to hear her stories about life in the '30s-'40s (The Great Depression and World War II). I don't know what kind of person I'd be today if it weren't for the love and caring I had from my grandparents during my childhood.
