Jesus christ that's bad...
I haven't really listened to the IEM thing except clips, but that bootleg should make it clear if they use a click these days or not. If not then he probably just needs drums louder in his IEM.
I'll admit I haven't seen or heard much from this tour but the bits I have heard sound awful.
It’s tough to please everyone. People have been complaining he can’t hit the high notes anymore and should sing with his lower voice, so he does it and now that sucks? Can’t win with everyone. Actually thought his voice sounded good. Sure he was rushed and behind at the beginning but cut them some slack. First time ever performing the song. Axl probably hasn’t sung it in 30+ years.
I applaud them for switching things up a bit and playing some different songs on this tour as opposed to the same set list every night. I haven’t been following it super closely either but that’s how it seems to me.

Didn't mean to trigger you. I'll pretend it sounds good then lol

Re: 2025 Tour Dates
At this point I’m more interested in hearing SMKC perform seldom played GN’R songs than GNR, because Axl just ain’t cutting it.
Sure it’s better to hear him to sing in a lower key, but are we supposed to ignore that he’s completely out of time for most of the song…?
Time for them to stop touring and focus on the studio. Hopefully there’s still some magic left in the tank.

Or just train up an AI model on Axl's old raspy isolated studio recordings and apply it as a real-time filter over his clean falsetto in live performance. Which is doable right now:

Are there other examples where he’s out of time or are we basing it off of 1 song they performed for the first time ever? I’m not saying he sounds great but I’m not ready to condemn him over being behind performing a song he’s never sung live before or possibly even rehearsed with the band.

You don’t have to pretend to like anything. It’s called differing opinions. I’m allowed to have one too, right?
Such is life, some people are going to be super critical and point out every negative detail. Others will look past the obvious flaws and say everything is great and many will fall somewhere in the middle. I like how they’re switching things up a bit and are seemingly ready to release a new song or more. I’m not sure that would be enough to get me back at a live show. Tickets are so damn expensive and up until now I’ve seen that show twice already. Meaning the show hasn’t changed that much since I last saw them. If they make enough tweaks though, they could sway me.
We all know what shape Axl’s voice is in these days. If you buy a ticket or listen on YouTube you shouldn’t be surprised. I think he looks better than he sounds. So he’s got that going for him. I’ve kind of accepted that he’s never going to sound like 1993 Axl or 2006 Axl or more recently Axl/DC again, I think we all have. That’s all I’m saying.

This isn’t the first instance this has happened. I’ve seen several videos over the years where Axl is often out of time with the band. Whoever is doing his in ears needs to be fired, or maybe Axl is just losing his marbles?
Whatever it is, it sounds horrible, and shouldn’t be happening almost 10 years into this reunion tour.

I admittedly haven’t followed that closely the last few years. Maybe I’ve heard or seen some clips but I honestly don’t remember seeing him out of time like in that video. I did see a clip of him yelling at Isaac for playing the wrong song, but that’s just an example of them not being on the same page. They performed Human Being again tonight so we’ll see how it compares once some video surfaces. Dusted off Catcher in the Rye too.
