I totally thought it was an internal voice from the first time I heard it. It really speaks volumes to me. It speaks to those with a self destructive side. I can totally relate. My demon lives in a bottle. I swear I could have wrote this song.

So what happened? These were coming fast and furious and now it seems this guy's pizza came. Sorry, but 17 years has made me a tad bit impatient

Actually it's the entire song for me, not just his solo. Right off the bat, the guitars sound sloppy (Robin) during the intro and it doesn't have the same appeal and coherence of the original CITR leak.
I'm right there with you. This a true example of what too much time in the studio can do to a song. Regardless though, it is still, at its core, a great song. The general public will never know that there was a better version. Sometimes less is more.
BTW, I love this guy right now. I wonder why he started with song #6?

BTW, IRS is much better! This almost makes up for him screwing up Catcher....almost.

Anyway, Santa Claus died years ago. I long ago realized that Star War, Star Trek, and Indiana Joses will never hold the excitement they once did. Please realize, the same goes for music. Trust me, leaking is a let down, and not leaking is a let down. It is all about longevity brother! So Chill Out

Honestly, The Blues (or Street of Dreams...whatever), and Maddie, have pretty spotty vocals. They are sometimes out of tune and his falsetto is mismatched at times. Decent songs, but somehow it seems he has little interest in them. This is the first tie I think I've ever hears the real Axl (with the exception of Don't cry which was recorded years after he wrote it.)

Thanks for showing an old time Gunner some love Obviously, I'm buying CD, but like many I'm very impatient.
It's funny, I clearly remember Axl bad mouthing bootleggers (November Rain) during the STL riot concert (of course, before the actual riot). Amazing.....I think he created his own monster. After him walking out (on my $50 BTW, which was a whole lot of money for a high school guy in '91), and after 17 years, I feel little patience for his nonsense...yet.... still..I love the guy. TIL is the only song that I truly feel this guy's pain. I'm not sure if it is Erin or what it is, but this guy demons are in this song. A masterpiece....just listen.....really.

Can any one show some TI Love? Please PM me. I know this is my first post, but I'm an old schooler. I've got a piece of GNR's big screen from St. Louis(yes I was there and I'm still pissed he walkrd out on my favorite song(Rocket Queen)).
