Kick Ass - Wasn't sure what to expect with this but it was pretty entertaining. Kind of like Watchmen meets Scary Movie.

Key difference being a priest won't charge you tens or hundreds of thousands of $$$ for his time (there's a joke in there somewhere but I'll leave it). I've got my own issues with religion but there is a vast difference in the most part between religion and psychics.

Back on topic, has anyone seen the interview with the Leeds/Reading organiser on the other thread? He mentions that he's been told GNR have new management now and a late show won't happen at the festivals. Is he referring to Doc or would he still have been dealing with Azoffs team at the time of these dates being arranged?

If your after a day ticket Olorin I wouldn't worry there'll still be some come end of April. You can generally get day tickets well into June/July through official channels. As julia said it's a fairly weak lineup overall, I wouldnt' expect there to be an unusual rush for tickets this year over any other.

They mentioned GNR on radio 1 this morning, said they'd been announced for Leeds and Reading and that there was concern as they played Peru and were 3 hours late then referred back to the Leeds 02 incident. At risk of sounding like a broken record he's going to have to be relatively punctual at these shows especially as they're televised.

Yeah it's official, it's all over the Leeds and Reading websites. They're not the kind of event or people to jump the gun either, if they've announced em they're happening.

Back in 06 Download claimed for a while that the show at Donnington would be GNR's only UK appearance and we know how that turned out. I'm going to sit tight on this one, day tickets won't sell out for a few months yet and if they announce an arena tour I'd rather go to that even though I live in Leeds.

On a positive for everyone else outside the UK, Radio 1 and the BBC are usually all over these festivals so I'd expect a large quantity of pro shot footage to be readily accessible, they might even broadcast the whole set live if we're lucky.

^ See the first half of the film is all about the missing patient

and then there's more emphasis on his wifes killer in the second half and that he's there to maybe get vengeance but they didn't really emphasise it. Almost felt like a secondary plotline to be honest.

I wanna see that, one of my good friends tells me it's great and even better the second time around.   Judging by what you're saying here, I'll be watching it taking that into account.

Don't get me wrong it's pretty good just don't expect to be blown away. Knowing how it ends a second watch might be worthwhile, I'd definitely be looking out for different things.

Shutter Island - A bit dissappointing really, it's good but not as good as I was hoping for. The end twist wasn't especially original and was roughly guessable from about a third of the way into the film although enough specifics remain unknown until the end to hold the interest.

Would have probably been better imo if they'd double bluffed the ending and had DiCaprios characters suspicions be correct all along but his experiences had driven him to madness which had been the aim of the Islands staff from the start.

Shame to hear but at least nobodies seriously hurt. Hopefully they can get a show rescheduled at some point if possible.

Serious question. Does this happen with other bands? I've lost count of the times tour related stuff gets announced, then GNR come out and debunk it (credit to them for doing that). I'm not even pointing fingers at anyone in particular but do other bands get false dates banded around by promoters that band representatives have to then come out and deny?

Just seems to happen an awful lot with GNR.
