Its so strange that no one seems to have a clue about this. Even North Korea would be impressed with Axl's ability to keep people's mouths shut
#1042 Re: Guns N' Roses » Robin back in NIN. Temp or not is the question? » 910 weeks ago
Honestly, I go away for one w/e and this happens.
The positive side says to me this is temporary or maybe he is using the end of his contract and the pending release of CD as a bargaining chip.
Unfortunately what I really am thinking is that if he were to have left temporarily, we would have heard that by now.
All in all doesn't make good reading, although I have to say I did like Robin in NIN before he joined GNR
Right now Axl needs to throw a frickin bone and do a decent update.

Does he venture out of the US?
Awesome guitarist, I'd quite happily see him back in GN'R, if only for his guitar skills.
#1044 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Slash comments on recent happenings » 912 weeks ago
I saw VR at Brixton Academy last night.
They still put on a good rawk show IMO and Slash is still one of the coolest mofo's on earth.
I went with three girls who didn't know any VR songs, but still enjoyed it.
Robert and Slash must be quite close - two of Roberts son's have played in bands that have supported VR in the UK.

Well this is certainly one massive headfuck!

I haven't heard any of this yet, but its certainly caught my interest as a NIN fan.
Thought this part was interesting (see 'more info')
'The end result is a wildly varied body of music that we're able to present to the world in ways the confines of a major record label would never have allowed - from a 100% DRM-free, high-quality download, to the most luxurious physical package we've ever created.'
I'd love to see Axl do something like this with GN'R, although I appreciate the music may not lend itself to this kind of release.

Well I've recently 'found' Metallica again, a little. I thought St. Anger was utter shite, so it can only get better for me now. And at least you can rely on them to actually release something.
#1048 Re: Guns N' Roses » The CD era - alternative angles » 912 weeks ago
I really hope the return of Guns N' Roses isn't marked by a single in The Hulk. Batman or Bond maybe, but not the hulk, please!
#1049 Re: Guns N' Roses » Will you ever give up? » 913 weeks ago
I am amazed at how long this supposed 'negotiation' is going on. I mean its not exactly Middle East Peace talks, is it? Unless there are lawyers and ex members (incl their lawyers) involved I cannot see why the band and the record company couldn't iron out their diffrences with the band over a few days of meetings.
If there are any plans for 2008, I would expect the plan to be along the normal lines of a fall release (thanksgving). Along these lines if we don't hear a release date from them by July / August at the very latest I see another year of silence ahead of us and the usual bullshit gnr seasonal cycle.
At which point I begin to think I will totally lose interest :-(
(I say think I can be quite fickle if I want to be!)

Pretty much confirms all the leaks are on the record doesn't it?
