looks like someone went and found the artist who did each picture in the booklet and chose a different painting from each artist and subbed them in

Skid row covers are fairly good, don't get those over stressed scream vocals on the rest of their stuff though, seems a little bratty teenager to me

It IS a tougher road in the US with this old band stuff. No wonder he goes to South America where the love is. I would too.
So it should be. They were the quintessential american rock band. They were the Led Zeppelin of America. That's the way I always thought of them.
Personally I wouldn't go see Zep if they had some guy that looked like onstage because he wouldn't be Jimmy and it wouldn't be Led Zeppelin.
That said I did go see GNR when they came around BUT, New GNR is a band that could not have existed in any other time period.
The reason some of us online die-hards accept this as Guns N Roses is because we've followed the musicians online. We've followed their stories and have some kind of affinity towards at least a couple of them.
You'd be hard pressed to find a die-hard that didn't respect Tommy. There are many too with great regard for bumblefoot. But, would that be the case without the internet? I don't think so. I wouldn't give a flying fuck about bumble if he hadn't replied so positively to my emails back in 06 urging me to go do music technology in college and keep the dream alive.
New GNR is an internet phenomenon. If it weren't for their online fan-shizzle Buckethead would be GNR's Jimmy Crespo.
There'd be a lot less respect for bucket if we couldn't download his entire catalogue free online.
Fucking Internet man. Fucking Internet.
Axl Rose + the Internet = Nu-Gnr

Huh?
Maybe it's just me. I've always been fascinated with this stuff, and back in the day like the 17/18 hundreds before they all got shit, there were philosophers who used to dig into things like how we can never validate that what we experience is what actual reality is like.
That type of thing. Love this shit.
James Lofton wrote:The "everything in the universe is a hologram" theory continues to gain traction and in my opinion will eventually be proven.
Like that guy told Tony on The Sopranos, "everything we see is simply shapes in our own consciousness. Nothing is actually real."
Well, why can't I imagine hot, REALLY hot pussy on a regular basis?
My brain desires it.
You could. We stick those people who do in insane asylums though.:P
Actually here's a real head-fuck.
Our concept of an objective reality is a backwards rationalization.
We don't ever experience an objective reality.
We only have our subjective experience. From that we have assumed there is an objective reality and backwards rationalized that because there is a subjective reality there MUST be an objective reality that gives rise to it.
Our concept of a subjective reality is based on our experience of subjective reality. The concept is directly supported by the evidence of our experience.
Our concept of an objective reality has no evidence. It is based on a logical leap from our evidence for a subjective reality.
The problem with that is that logic is a process that can be applied to any concept whether the concept is true or false. False concepts can be just as logical as true ones.
Our only grasp of an objective reality is a conceptual grasp that has no direct evidence, stranger it's a subjective conceptual grasp.
We really know sweet fuck all.
Exhilarating stuff.
I've always thought that, this is exactly what Axl was talking about with "Use your Illusions"
