What there doing now is basically what Ron said they should do back then, drop a few songs at a time. They should have done this years ago

Tbh, I thought it was dumb when he suggested it 16

I think Ron’s goal was to release the “old stuff” and record new songs for a new album, which was never gonna happen for him. I can see Slash wanting something similar, the difference being Slash is getting songwriting credit on the “old stuff.”

Totally agree

Did Ron get no writing credits on CD? Not a one?

Edit: Nope. Answered my own question.

Also, listening to the isolated vocal on The General it sounds like to me someone, maybe the leaker messed with the chorus, it seems way too off to be that bad of a mix, espeically if its from a 99-04 demo, no demos from those are mixed this bad.

I think someone went in and put tons of reverb and turned the sound way up on those parts to mess with the leak, so the leakers still have a prestine version for trade.

I can definitely see that being the case but if it were, they could have certainly done A LOT more than muffling the chorus.

Lynch fucking rules as a player. Enjoy that Lynch Mob album very much but he also did a cringe worthy nu-metal album lol.

I’m a dummy on the whole thing and definitely lean left (mainly socially).

The Hamas attacks were vile and gross and widespread antisemitism is toxic worldwide. But when I heard Israel was cutting off water and food and electricity to Gaza I was like…wait…they can do that?

It’s a tragedy all the way around.

Someone should make a poll for whether or not we think Slash and Duff are on these songs. I initially thought they were but not so sure anymore.

(I’d make the poll but doing so on mobile seems like a pain.)

I’m inclined to believe Monsters has Slash and Duff but it’s funny to me how people think Duff invented the bass slide just because he did it on Slither.

Coming up on 15 years since cd dropped…let that sink in.

The more we hear of these songs, the more Better seems like an outlier. Poppy, newer Axl vocals, Bucket/Robin. Doesn’t really fit with what’s heard on CD and these leaks. I wonder if the record company recognized it as the best chance at a radio friendly hit and forced it on the album.

so if that is tommy from 1999 and not duff its crazy how tommy came up with a slither sounding bass line back then.

Yeah i meant it sounds like Duff but I hear at least some Finck in guitars. Which isn’t far-fetched based on the Perhaps solo fiasco.

yeah to me Monsters sounds like Duff like what he did in VR like on Slither.
What I mean about Tommy is, if that is not Duff on bass and its a demo from the CD sessions and its Tommy on bass, its crazy how Tommy came up with the slither bass lines before Duff

Understand, thanks.

Imagine a petty Slash and Duff using their insiders to scoop ChiDem material and ripping it off for their big post-GnR hit? I’m going to write fan fiction for this band.

Monsters fucking rules. Hope it’s officially a standalone track.

Christ now I’m worried they took 2 good songs and made a not good song.
