Sounds good!
Some of Izzy's solo stuff doesn't move me but this sounds a little more ballsy.

I liked that "Legend of the Red Panda" name.
I didn't really care for "Stay of Execution" if that was an album title. A little too try hard.

If Slash and Duff aren't doing more recording there wouldn't be any reason to lay out the old, soon isn't the word. Again, unless there's a renegotiation going on with the label.
I'm having trouble following what you mean. Could you clear it up?
THAT is the best thing about GNR in 2016......the label will want to captalize on the current interest in GNR. Whether its remnants of CD II, updated remixes of CD, or brand new material....they will want music with the GNR name attached to it in stores/on Itunes.
Agreed. I just hope they're not gun shy about CD II affecting their market value or being a commercial dud because Buckethead or Robin are gone.
I'd be curious to know the financial details of the Best Buy deal.

What's your favorite unreleased song?
If I had a second, it'd be: What was your favorite moment of CD where you were happy / excited with how things turned out?

I just listened to it.
It's good to hear Axl speak for extended periods of time but it's a bummer he said "soon is not the word" again regarding a new album.
Due to the label, we never got to hear the real Chinese Democracy. What we heard in 2008 was the abortion version of his initial vision. If he unloads the second album while the world is watching, there will be a LOT of focus on it so why not go back to how it was intended?
Remove Ron from the equation completely. Frank is still in so keep him involved I suppose although I'd love for Brain/Freese to still be included, remove anything non essential of Pitman's and let Melissa fill that gap, and we've got a an album the public will be all over like Roseanne Barr on a loose meat sandwich.
I agree about removing Ron. I don't care for his additions.
But it seems to me that Pitman was pretty important to Axl's original vision. All of the 2002 tour had heavy effects work and the "Better" and "If The World" demos in particular had more synth work that I thought was cool.
I think that Axl has the advantage with the next album though. Barring a dozen leaks like with CD, he'll be the man behind the curtain, and we'll be unable to scrutinize.

Well said Otto.
What worries me about this version of GN'R is that "everyone gets along".
I'm worried that it is going to become sterile and generic.
The best art comes out of adversity.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And Robin and (more so) Buckethead wrote all the "Chinese Democracy" songs and the ones that haven't come out yet so it's pretty unfortunate that both of them are gone.
The way I see it - Robin is the "new Izzy" and Buckethead was the "new Slash". They were both extremely valuable now that they're gone... all we've got is Sorum and Gilby.

So awesome Robin played with them.
DJ is alright but Robin has more style/uniqueness to him.
Richard can play the DJ/Slash style, they don't need 2 players with the same style.

I'm so, so excited for Season Two.

I bought the Season One Blu-Ray and it's incredible quality.
$35 is an absolute steal.
#1109 Re: Guns N' Roses » I want a reunion » 695 weeks ago
I want 3 things:
1. The band to be functional; everyone has a role.
2. The band to never stagnate creatively.
3. The band to record and release music regularly.
----------------------------------------------------------
Although... I really wish that Buckethead were still in the band.
He wrote all of the "Chinese Democracy" stuff and gets no credit!
Axl basically treating him like a hired contractor is unforgivable.
DJ Ashba will never be able to write stuff like "If The World" or "Sorry".
Buckethead is in a totally different league.

True!
It's one of the reasons that I really like Oh My God.
That and because the chorus is so heavy.
Axl's writing on UYI is amazing even though some of the songs are kind of overly long.
