I know for sure the clip i'm talking about is at least a few years old and it was probably made a few years before that so I would guess it's at least five years old.
Makes sense. I thought it would be from that era, probably 2011-ish.

MSL said he heard a bad recording of General over the phone and lyrics were impossible to make out, but the Axl screams were clear and the music sounded good.
Got it. So it's not something that's really out there like those remixes and Going Down, right?

It's a cell phone recording of the song played over some stereo or PA system. There is a lot of chatter and people talking on it and it makes it hard to hear the song. You can hear the guitar solo and then some Axl vocal melody but you can't make out any lyrics.

I have no idea if they really do have Atlas and The General cell phone recording, but I do know for a fact that The General cell phone recording exist.

MSL had a song that he traded with other traders. I think he had IRS because he happened to record the Eddie Trunk show that IRS was played.
If you're talking about that original radio recording (a rough 2006 cell phone recording of clips pasted together), it wasn't him. That was someone else outside the GNR fanbase community who recorded it, hence the shitty quality.

I love the track, I hate the mix. More than the Buckethead work, I'd like to hear Brain's rearranged drums.
And I hate that it's not available on Spotify.

I was thinking the Kaneda stuff may have been what inspired them to start the circle jerk in the first place. It all began with them talking about his posts over there, then suddenly they all "have" it.

I tried to contact two persons who posted there, didnt ask for links, just answers. Neither replied.

Yeah, and we're not in 2006 right? You can use encrypted iMessage or WhatsApp or whatever to send audio with no real worries about Team Brazil going after you. You don't have to rely only on free download services links.
The only thing I could think of is Kaneda, since he was trying to talk about Atlas and The General on MyGNR for like two weeks now.
But I think it's pretty clear it's all bull by now.
He posted on MyGnr before the whole thing on that other board started. I think they just took the chance.

About the leaks: first, where would it come from and why would the songs end up just in their hands?
