I stayed strong. I wanted to kow the intro to SOD but other than that I've left well alone. The quality's so shitty anyway, don't ruin listening to the last of the CD tracks on such poor versions.
Reviews seem mixed again which is interesting if by now unsurprising. I like SR a lot on here hate it, I think ITW is crap and a lot really love it so people's reviews aren't really spoiling it this time because I know these songs really do hit everyone on a different level. One fans 'big gun' is another fans My World it would seem.

The intro to SOD is halfway between the 02 version and 06. A guitar kicks in but not as heavy as in 02. Then the scratching ruins it.

Chris Moyles & co played it on BBC Radio 1 this morning - they said 'Hmm, not sure about that one' Then went on to tell half the country that 'its not really Guns N Roses because its just Axl & a bunch of session musicians'. Then they ended up talking about VR instead.
I heard that, I woke up to it. I thought the song sounded awesome a bit faster or something, or perhaps I was half asleep 
They hmmd about it, talked about VR for a bit (it sounded like Moyles had no idea VR was Slash, Duff etc) and said they needed to give it a few more listens but it was 'ok'. Not sure if that's the first time Moyles has played the song? Apparently Jo Whiley and Zane Lowe have been saying how much they love it since it was played last week.

I'm going to avoid it until release day too. I'm less hyped than I would be about the release because I know the majority of the album already. I want to hear the last few unheard tracks when I play the album for the first time on release day. I want to still want this album when it comes out, not just buy it on release day because I feel obliged having been listening to it for 2/3 weeks already.

I've got no idea, when ITW leaked a few months back I remember somebody linked to a few youtube vids on HTGTH that had GNR in 06 playing jams between songs and they played ITW in instrumental form a couple of times. Unfortunately youtube seems to be devoid of 06 boots at the moment (strange??) and HTGTH has disbled its search function for the moment so for now it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

They definitely did If the World as part of the moving piano jam in 06 a couple of times, of course none of us knew it at the time.

^ I watched it too as I had nothing else to do. The ad breaks were positioned badly, putting the last one in where they did totally ruined the climax of the film.

I haven't listened to it but I'm glad it was better than people were making out to be. Reading the thread on HTGTH it sounded like a car crash which is why I asked if anyone here had heard it.

I remember Canadian dates pooping up mysteriously and it never getting explained, but I thought that was in 07?
