Wow.  This actually makes me ashamed to call me a GNR fan.

I gotta agree with Alice here.

I agree.  I don't really like Nickelback BUT I won't pay money to go to a concert of Nickelback.  And if I ever go see them (cause somebody would drag my ass over there) I'd be mature enough to give the band a chance to make my night slightly enjoyable, plus I'd respect those that went to see Nickelback and paid their hard earned money to enjoy one of their fave bands.  People that do that kinda shit shouldn't be allowed to live in society.

#144 Re: Guns N' Roses » GN'R Twitter Updates » 775 weeks ago

I can't speak for others but this is my take on GNR\Axl.  What he just did with this twitter update is a couple weeks too late.  Seriously.  We got a twitter update and they claimed Axl's account was hacked.  Ok.  Well UPDATE US on when it is fixed and make it clear that the tour is on.  And that can be done via a proper website.  As for the Leeds show.  As soon as they knew Axl would play Axl should've updated people then.  NOT the other members.  They are irrelevant and that whether you all like it or not is Axl's fault.  Me if Ron (And I respect the shit out of Ron), Ashba or any other bandmembers say that the show is on it doesn't hold any water cause I know that they don't call the shots.  Axl does.  In a way yes at this point it is true that everything Axl does seems to be a no win but he painted himself in that corner.  We didn't.

Well since no one's posted it.  Luna Vachon passed away at the age of 48.  RIP.  And so continues the wrestler's curse.

It's an old school rebel attitude I think.

I don't buy their rebel bullshit.

Axl parades @ MTV Awards, that's not rebel at all. (Not to mention that he wasn't late @ the 2002 VMAs.) Playing the same songs in the same order every night isn't rebellious. Taking 14 million bucks from the record company isn't that. Suing every second person you met in your life isn't that. Blaming the whole world for your own fuck-ups...well, that's not rebellious either. Having a mile road demand from the promoters to guarantee your luxury isn't very rebel. Buying paintings and cars and then not pay for it, isn't rebellious.

It's not the rebel attitute that Axl has - it's the paranoid, childish, hysterical, primadonna, dictator attitute of his, cause he thinks the whole world revolves around him, and all the other billion people on Earth should be Jarmos and Betas.

Amen!  Axl likes to have the nutswingers believe he is this big rebel.  Pfff!  He is childish that's what he is.  Like Mikka said had he been a true rebel he would NOT have paraded on MTV.  Anyways not sure what is going on.  Is the show in Leed on or not?  Don't know don't care.  Didn't bother watching the whole video or bothered to read why they cancelled the show.  To me this is just typical Axl shit and no matter how you twist this that kind of shit AIN'T cool.  So that part of Axl I just don't bother with anymore.  Cancelling shows just cause is not rebel it's plain stupid.

Precious time... wrote:

The longer the tour goes on the less likely the same bat time is.

Disappointing but i guess it was only a long shot.

How is it disappointing?  Well it is if you believed it.  But anyone that looked at this with  his or her thinking head can't be disappointed cause basically it is what we expected.  If anything I think it was a little better than expected as they played some shows and realistically a silent era was to be expected.  Anyone that is still disappointed by this band needs to learn to lower their expectations to the strict minimum.

Empty the cd vaults.  Then time to regroup.

#149 Re: Guns N' Roses » World Tour Cancelled? » 776 weeks ago

Axlin.  Even if the internet didn't exist GNR would still be subject to a lot of coverage.

pathetic....a whole huge thread over NOTHING. Just another example of too much information. Twitter and all these things SUCK. Yep, I am over 40 but Van Halen and Zep and the Stones didn't need this shit. Schedule a tour, show up and play. Axl has done that so far. I don't need to know why Ron got mad, don't need to know why Tommy is in Haiti, don't need a toilet seat form DJ Slashba. This is one of the most useless threads in new Gnr's sordid history.

"Too much of anything, is too much for me."

See Madagas, I'm 37 and I got to know what the good ol days were and do agree that I miss some of it.  But this too much information that we got came from Axl's twitter account.  Now either he wrote this while on a temper tantrum OR his account got hacked.  But I remember back in the days I used to buy Hit Parader, Metal Edge, Rolling Stone Mag and a few others and often we'd get stories on GNR and or interviews with the band members and through those mags we knew if they were on tour or not, if they were recording or whatever.  We don't have that luxury anymore.  So back in the day maybe there was no internet but we still could get news on GNR.  Now not so much.  So I will respectfully disagree with your "too much info" theory.  19
