I'll listen to it, but if I had to bet, I'd go with "sounds like Jon's solo stuff."

He should call Bucket!  Imagine him shredding Raise Your Hands?

Side note. It ain't Bon jovi without Richie and there's no way I'd buy a ticket to that shit.

Word. Its funny that I'm willing to accept different gnr lineups but Jon Bon Jovi using Bon Jovi without Richie? Nah. Get a new name. big_smile

I'm with you. No more spoilers. I'm putting aside time to do nothing but listen this on release. One of my first and favorite bands- psyched to grab this one!

That article linked up thread mentions that Robin's also a bass player, but also that he's hardly the only multi-instrumentalist onboard. So who's playing bass is all speculation for now. Do we know of anywhere Robin held down bass duties? I'd be interested to hear it, but my first reaction is I want him torturing that guitar!

It made a decent splash on the radio, but Roger kind of went silent afterwards, at least as far as the general public was concerned.

The CD stlil sounds great - the liner talks about this new fangled "Q Sound" it was recorded with. The way you could tell it was working if you sat down in front of your speakers the barking dog at the album opening sounded like it was coming from outside.

It's really exciting to hear about new music for the first time when it's actually ready. Not a dig at GnR either- almost NOBODY unleashes surprises like that. Totally cool, and must be nice to be that free artistically that he has the room to operate that way in the first place.

Pretty fucking excited to hear some new NIN and I hope this really is "new place".

Saw that article earlier. I actually think the author was way LESS douchey than I expected when I saw the title. I wish more journalists took the time to introduce the band to more casual fans. The jokes are just low-hanging fruit and could have been a lot more obnoxious. He might also be talking that way to build cred with casuals so they don't think he drank the Kool-Aid.

If I were a famous musician I would have died young. There's just too much awesome out there, and I'm a terrible hedonist.

It's certainly not looking good for him. Hope he pulls it together, but he's got a long row to hoe.
