Well, opinion will obviously vary, but we're getting a taste of what two CD era members are able to do in a studio setting without someone afraid to release something.
Other than the recent Praxis album(which sucked), this is the first time since the Ghosts of Mars soundtrack that we're hearing CD era members collaborate on something.
Who's the other member, Freese? Well I'm underwhelmed put it that way, they're capable of much better. The CD tracks prove that. There's a whole album to come from NIN so it'll be a better gauge when that's out of what Finck can do without the GNR shackles on.

Are you?
It's just not striking a chord with me at all, I see what you mean by catchy, but only because it's so monotonous.

Is anybody looking forward to Metal Gear Solid 4 coming out in June? Has anybody read much about it, is it meant to be good? I go through phases with the MGS games but once you start playing one you can't stop.

I gotta say this track does nothing for me. I've given it a few listens but it's nothing special at all imo.

What would be the point. If BH turned them down with Robin and Brain still in the band I don't see him accepting now unless Robin was the reason he said no in the first place.
#1656 Re: Guns N' Roses » Rumor: Axl and Slash at same hotel in NYC? » 942 weeks ago
I don't really buy this either, it's possible I guess but this one just doesn't ring true for me. The reunion rumour is gaining weight but I'm not sure, GNR put out a CD update only 2 days ago admittedly it was brief and lacking in substance but the last mention of CD on the official site was when last Feb? They didn't have to include the CD update with the Robin update, the fact they did tells me that CD's still the plan, for now at least.
#1657 Re: Guns N' Roses » GNR issue statement about Robin » 942 weeks ago
He clearly means Mysteron's gay.....
I take it to mean similar to what the official statement said, ignore the first paragraph it's just babble about why he didn't reply to anyone.
As previously stated, we're focused on bizz now, *IF* a conflict arises down the road, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
This is the main bit, taking it at face value GNR's still focused on getting the album out and will continue to do so as though nothing's changed. Should a time come when they need Robin for touring or promo and he's still with NIN then GNR have a problem that needs dealing with, until then, they don't.

Ordered GTA4 yesterday although everywhere I tried said they'd sold out of it and would ship me a copy whne their next batch arrived. They said I should get it around May 2/3rd time, can't wait.
#1659 Re: Guns N' Roses » So who on here would go to a GNR reunion? » 942 weeks ago
No doubt I'd be there, it'd be a dream come true. If it was to happen in the next year or so I'd have to hope and pray they came to the UK because whilst I'd pay whatever it cost to see them ticket wise I couldn't afford the travel to NY or wherever, if it's a few years down the line when I've got a job etc then I'd probably travel to the first show wherever that may be.
As for Izzy I think he'd do it, even a big tour providing all the BS had finished. Everyone's always said Izzy hated touring etc but I get the impression from Slash's book that wasn't quite the reason he left. It seemed more that once he got clean GNR was no environment for a recovering addict and Axls behaviour on the tour was the final straw. I'm pretty sure Slash says that in 93 when Izzy came back for a couple of shows he was testing the water to see if he could come back permanently but when he saw things were worse in terms of all the BS than when he'd left he decided against it. If a reunion tour was on better terms (which it would have to be) then I think he'd do it.
