#1681 Re: Guns N' Roses » Robin back in NIN. Temp or not is the question? » 945 weeks ago

We'll just have to see what the next few days bring. Just when things start to look up for GNR we get another kick in the nuts. I don't have a problem with Robin or any members doing solo stuff or whatever but it is concerning considering the last time Robin did this he quit GNR as well. At worst Robin's quit GNR (which I doubt) at best he's doing his thing waiting for CD to kick into life like the other guys have done. Even in the best case scenario though it means CD isn't round the corner which is frankly all I really care about.

It'll be interesting to see how long this NIN tour is going to last, that should tell us more.

unfortunately with McMahon you can never tell... IMO if Flair actually retires they should do him justice in a legit ceremony or something outside of RAW or as a special edition of RAW

He was inducted into the Hall of Fame on Saturady night before Wrestlemania, as well as the stuff they did on Raw on Monday night.

I wonder if they know what they're getting into, with all the internet fans who'll over-analyze their every word. tongue

It's probably the first thing they got told about 16

Thanks.

Slash's responses about this seem pretty consistent, he'd do it provided the terms were right and he just doesn't see those terms being met anytime soon.

What does Slash say? I'm at work so I can't watch right now.

I don't get it - why do people think that there would be a lawsuit for Dr Pepper mentioning GN'R in an independent marketing campaign, unless GN'R authorised it first????  It's not like Dr Pepper has said "this promotion is endorsed by Guns N' Roses" or anything similar.

It's a promotion based upon an event either happening or not.  They haven't defamed GN'R or anything else.  There are no grounds for suing.  To say that simply because they mentioned the name is the basis for suing is ridiculous - it's akin to saying anybody that might mention the name GN'R in a sentance can be sued.  Well radio DJ's etc that make jokes about CD not being released better look out 18

Extending that logic futher GN'R better watch themselves otherwise they will have a lawsuit from China for using that countries name and promoting a form of government that they vehemently oppose.

GNR or the label knowing ahead of time is crucial to alot of peoples theories that we are being lied to in some way.

I wouldn't quite put it like that, I don't think this is people looking for an excuse to bash GNR by saying they're lieing to us. The point is if GNR and/or the label knew about the DP thing ahead of time it indicates the two parties are collaborating and suggests it's all part of a big promo push for CD. If GNR and the label didn't know ahead of time then it's just a promo push for DP and means as of this moment CD is no closer to coming out because of it. I think that's why people want to believe it's all been planned.

GNR knowing about this ahead of time = probable start of CD promotion

GNR not knowing about this ahead of time = clever promotion by DP but means CD's probably no closer to coming out

Wow more apparently good news, I daren't believe things are truly happening, we've all been there before and it never ends well, but I'm getting cautiously optimistic about all this.

I don't see BH returning though, not based solely on this news anyway. Ron will still be lead guitarist of GNR when this album comes out imo.
