That last part is Abbey Road saying to not shoot the messenger. The rest of it is from the fake insider.

some boards I'm a member of actually pay me to post.  (though i haven't seen this done in the GnR world)

if you made it like.. 5 or 10 cents per post, you'd have a shit load of people here posting smile

I've never heard of that. Sign me up. I'll be a millionaire in no time.:haha:

Only thing similar I have seen is at a horror forum I am a member of. They have this "bank", and each time you post, you get a credit. Start a thread, you get 5 credits. This goes into your "bank account", and when you get a decent amount of points, you can buy items with your points in their store. They have some DVDs, posters, shirts, etc.

No pornography.

May i mention something :

Look at their mothers !!

It's no surprise.

Dina Lohan is a drug abuser, Britney's mother is a fame seeker, Paris's mother is a weird woman into all kinds of fetishs and probably addicted to alcohol, HAYDEN PANNETIERE's mother has got a whore reputation, Nicole Ritchie has a dad who likes trannies apparently and a mother involved in an awful plastic surgery scandal.

If all of this is public to us, it is to their kids.

How do you expect them to turn out normal ?

You're mixing up Lionel Richie with Eddie Murphy. Lionel doesn't fuck transvestite prostitutes.

I also dont buy the excuse as to why they turned out that way. Halle Berry didn't have a great life before she was famous, and was actually beat up by a boyfriend so bad she is almost completely deaf in one ear. I never seen her spreading her legs in clubs while snorting a mountain of coke.

It's all fake to keep them in the headlines.

No its not. Lohan is notorious for being a coked out slut. Its not a ploy. That big gossip site actually had the footage on their site months ago of Lohan snorting coke in that bathroom with a bunch of chicks bragging about flying to NY to fuck some dude. She also fucked several dudes the last time she was in rehab. Probably did this time as well. Supposedly just about every rapper has fucked her as well.

She's nothing but trash. She was an unknown actress who lucked into getting to star in a kid's movie and thats how she got her fame. The minute she got that money, she started putting all the money up her nose and fucking anything in NY or LA that moved. The public got sick of this crap and doesn't go see any of her movies. Now she is in the death throes of her career by living as a tabloid star that only the media and a few bloggers care about.

The only thing fake about this culture is their celebrity. The media presents them as real stars when in reality they are not.

They cant sell a cd, cant sell a movie, and cant sell a magazine.

#18037 Re: The Sunset Strip » Sorry state of music... Kid Rock #1 » 949 weeks ago

I've said it for years, but I'll keep saying it until the industry finally hears it:

Cd prices have to be lowered across the board to 5 bucks. Double albums $7.50 to 9 bucks. Its the ONLY way the record industry will be able to survive this downloading catastrophe. Artists are already abandoning labels and changing course, such as Madonna and Radiohead. More will follow. They have to make these price changes within a year or so or it will be too late.

Also, cds will have to have a few little extras. The days of nothing in the booklet are over. MIA actually gave her fans a reason to buy her album, although they didn't buy it in droves. All the artwork in the booklet was designed by her, and the cd came with a paper insert for free ringtones from the album. Called a free number and you got a ringtone.

I know a price drop like that will have an immediate impact on the industry. They will take a huge financial hit when it first happens. However, they can adapt to the new environment. They wont make as much money, but they will still make money.

People walking into stores seeing thousands of albums for 5 bucks each are much more likely to purchase product. Would the industry rather actually make money, or would they rather megaupload, yousendit, etc,. still be very active and p2p sites playing a role in cd burners working in overdrive?

They have no other choice. I never understood their reluctance to stop ripping consumers off. You could spot this disaster approaching a mile away. They should have done a huge price drop in the 90's when Napster got big.

Wow. What a creepy story. That doll even looks evil. It should be destroyed.

#18039 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Beautiful Disease » 949 weeks ago

I was immediately disappointed in this record when I finally heard it. It will not bother me one bit if its never released, although I hope it does get a release someday mainly for the fact the album does have a sort of cult like following. There's quite a few peeps who think it is the best solo project from a GNR member.

I love Believe in Me though. Great album, and even though it was released in the grunge era, it could've had legs had it been promoted. The music really went with the era for some reason.

He wrote NR at 15, felt it wasn't ready for AFD in 1986, and finally released it in 1991?  Maybe what we're experiencing now isn't really out of the ordinary for him?

Good point, and in hindsight, what we are dealing with isn't really that shocking. I could never find the quote, but I remember in one of the old magazines in the heyday Axl was talking about the Illusion material before it was released. He said how he had Don't Cry and November Rain back in the AFD period. He didn't feel the songs were ready and the world wasn't ready, so they didn't make it on AFD. In his words, "the weaker of the three", SCOM, made the album instead.

Also, his lofty goals that could never be met(ala the "trilogy" in 2002) has its roots from the old band. Back in 1988, Axl said he wanted to release 5 albums in a 2 year period. Obviously this never happened.

Its like he gets these grandiose visions in his mind, but the way he approaches his art always goes into direct conflict with the actual vision itself.

I'm not trying to justify the wait as its way past the point of absurdity. However, when looking at his past you can sort of understand the bizarre route his career has taken.

Never forget, internal pressure from his old bandmates, record label, and fans caused him to release UYI "prematurely", and they had been working on that album about two years. He said in the late 90's he would never let that happen again. He obviously wasn't lying.:haha:
